I’d suggest saving yourself £100+ and buy a Meaco for use in the bedroom. I have both, and the Meaco beats the Dyson hands-down: it’s much quieter (silent), stronger fan, tilts and swivels and has more functions. I regret having bought the Dyson - it looks good but simply not worth the money.

Do you have a link to the Meaco one you recommend? As just checking you are referring to a fan or the dehumidifier.

I really recommend the hot and cool pure instead. I’m using it as we speak. It saved me £75 in heating bills a month during winter and doesn’t use up much electricity. I got mine as essentially new with a damaged box from eBay for £205 with a discount and sometimes it goes down to that price.

Worth it as both the fan and the heating parts are very good and don’t compromise.

The fan in this deal doesn’t have the purification mode though so if that’s a priority, get that.

We have the dyson hot and cool and are looking for another. Not precious about dyson but love the feature where we can set the temperature and it just keeps the room that at that temperature. I cannot seem to find this on anything else. Most seem to offer timers etc.
Any recommendations would be appreciated

You can set the temperature on the Meaco 1056p and it will automatically adjust fan speed to try and maintain that temperature (it’s not an a/c though).
