So, you get the cashback if you spend £2 or more than £2? Sounds confusing: "100% cashback will be awarded for purchases of an Easter egg or eggs costing £2 or more at any UK store. Transactions over £2 in value will receive £2 cashback."
    TopCashbackRep's avatar
Hey, we are altering these terms to make it clearer. You need to spend £2 or more on chocolate Easter egg(s) to get £2 cashback. - Liberty
  3. s10's avatar
will this work on (for example) a £7 Easter egg paid for with a £5 discount and £2?
    TopCashbackRep's avatar
Hey, as long as you spend £2 or more on an easter egg(s) then you will get £2 cashback. - Liberty

Really dumb question here, do I need to opt in, or can I just go to Tescos tomorrow and grab an egg with a receipt?
I can't find anywhere to opt for it or the terms stating you need to, but every topcashback promotion is normally a opt in thing
    Kush.V's avatar
    No need to opt in.
    Just submit a receipt

I've got the free Easter bunny receipt from Lidl.
Dunno if it will be accepted but shall give it a go

Unlikely according to T&Cs as the receipt should show minimum £2 spend but no harm in giving it a go.

"100% cashback will be awarded for purchases of an Easter egg or eggs costing £2 or more at any UK store. Transactions over £2 in value will receive £2 cashback."

Where can we buy a £2 Easter egg? Most I have seen are £5...I do not want to spend that much
    bozo007's avatar
It is not just one egg. You can buy the tiny ones too.
  8. MSHUKD's avatar
Great deal. If by any chance you bought a kitkat chunky biscoff egg or aero mint, can also claim 1.50 on Shopmium!

The FAQ section says the offer is valid for selected stores whereas the T&C states any UK store purchase is eligible. Just wanted to confirm that we can buy in any store?

Uploaded a digital receipt from Lidl Plus and payable pretty much instantly.

I have also had two occasions in recent days where BT Shop and Chiltern Railways said they had rejected my cashback.

TCB then said they would pay the cashback amounts from their own pockets.

All this is why I would always use TCB anyday over Quidco, who just seem to be getting worse.
    TECHSPEC's avatar
Didn't think they did that anymore.

Did it with me in the past, whereas with Quidco, it was always just tough luck.

I still think retailers seem to get off the hook too easy. If it's due, it's due (edited)

can you purchase items such as Lindt mini eggs. Cadbury crème eggs or mini eggs over the value of £2, so several bags and still qualify or do we have to buy an actual Easter egg?
    TopCashbackRep's avatar
Hey, we would include a filled chocolate easter egg as eligible - Liberty

Is this valid in smaller shops like Vivo, Spar, Nisa?
    zerocrop's avatar
The terms state "any UK store".
  24. davidian84's avatar
    Anyone any recommendations?
Tesco lindt eggs 50p (5 for £2 in big tescos)
    herons mini egg bars 75p
Medium eggs £1 in many places

You could maybe wait til monday (edited)
    blahblahblah1234's avatar
Big stores will clear their stock back to the manufacturer, probably before the weekend.
I've noticed Tesco listings state the prices are until April 7th (i.e. Good Friday).
    tesco.com/gro…450

Seasonal aisles will be repurposed with bags of compost, bbqs and garden chairs. It happens every year.
You might find some reduced Easter stock in smaller stores, locals and expresses from Monday.

@TopCashbackRep I got 20£ still saying pending from November 2022 ... my mate definetly spend enough and got the 10£ in cashback himself.. now they each time saying that they didn't but the 'bar' showing that the spend is 100% full and should be ready to payout long time ago... any ideas ? I tried to reach help via your website but each time same story that they didn't spend enough but I know they did ...

I had the same issue. "Some transactions will not count towards your friend’s referral threshold, including sign-up bonuses, New Member Deals and any cashback awarded from the list of excluded merchants below. This list is subject to change at any time." excluded merchants are in the link below.

So much excitement for £2 cashback... Why?
    deleted2430159's avatar
Don't be so ungrateful for some people it's a full dinner. £2 is better than nothing.
  34. Kush.V's avatar
I even uploaded a receipt of normal Thornton chocolate box and it was payable.
In my experience anything that is chocolate turns to payable

It's such a lovely gesture from the TopCashBack Marketing team offering the £2 over the Easter period, and having no exclusions, and they make it ever so easy to claim this.

Quidco on the other hand is a totally different ball game - they'd restrict members purchasing from selected retailers, and certain brands only, and you'd never be able to claim it for £2!

I've encouraged friends and family to join up with TopCashBack too.... it helps telling people "I got the Easter Egg FREE"
  35. Tatwamasi's avatar
Who is funding this? Why? Seems absolutely wild to just offer everyone £2 for no particular reason.
    Cleverbyname's avatar
The companies registered with them give them a cut of sales made through their app/site. They chose ways like this to pass it back onto us.
  36. ahotukdeal's avatar
Topcashback is really making itself more appealing than Quidco these days!
    zerocrop's avatar
Not necessarily. I find that Topcashback repeatedly fail on larger value cashback. More specifically, car insurance, where the cashback amount might be around £40 repeatedly fails for me and I have to endure the submission of a ticket. That takes almost a year to resolve as the claim goes on "ice" for several months before Topcashback even attempt to sort it. (edited)

Save yourself the money and buy a normal block of chocolate...

You will save hundreds over a lifetime
    blahblahblah1234's avatar
    Normally I'd agree with you.
On this occasion, you can't get a normal block of chocolate for free.
  38. TECHSPEC's avatar
Bought everyone else's - so will treat myself to one 😋
  39. sashforth's avatar
Pretty sure that there is a typo in the Ts&Cs as they make no sense at the moment. The word "more" in the bullet point below should be "less". Otherwise the phrase 100% cashback makes no sense. For example, an egg costing £1.50 will receive £1.50 cashback which is 100% and and egg costing £2.50 will receive £2 which is clearly not 100%.

    - 100% cashback will be awarded for purchases of an Easteregg or eggs costing £2 or more at any UKstore. Transactions over £2 in value will receive £2 cashback.
