Yes deffo. Bigger screen and better sound. It also has a very good camera that follows you (edited)

One of mine is an expensive brick after two years (failed to finish or install an update correctly). I liked it when it worked but reluctant to buy another one....Amazon were no help at all. A £20 Dot does what I need, never used the screen much anyway.

Much prefer the 8 over the 5. We gifted our fives once we tried the 8 out.
Would definitely recommend. Use ours all the time in the kitchen.

Owned various Echo Shows since launch hand the 5 then 8, back to the 5.
That said lately damn think shows ads everytime someone walks past 8
