About this deal

This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

There are 20,000 free tickets up for grabs to see selected Edinburgh Festival Fringe shows – you could see some amazing shows absolutely free!

For the second year running The Scotsman has joined forces with EdFest.com to offer readers the chance to get their hands on fantastic fringe show tickets – and pay nothing.

We want to make art and entertainment more accessible. Let’s face it times are tough and money is tight for many of us – so this offer could not have come at a better time. If you’ve never been to a fringe event before why not try it for free. And if you’re a regular festival goer and already have tickets – you could see even more shows and pay nothing more.

With comedy, dance, circus, music and family entertainment amongst the shows there is bound to be something you’d enjoy – and you’ll get a great night out for nothing.

How to get free tickets
With 20,000 tickets on offer there’s plenty to go around – but the early birds will get the pick of the crop so it pays to be first in the know.

  • Dark Noon at Pleasance,
  • IMA at Assembly
  • And then the Rodeo Burned Down at theSpaceUK

Still plenty of rooms on airbnb for around 100 quid a night, which those free tickets will also help to pay for

Im having a look and it seems to allow you to buy 4 for the one show, even though it says max 2...

What show did you go for? (edited)

They really need to change the subtitle, used to be a great show but it’s totally conforming and corporate. (edited)

Not entirely true if you look around . Just avoid the main hubs - udder belly , pleasance , gilded balloon etc and go to free fringe festival .

    Thanks! Did this last year.

Doesn't seem to limit you either as previously said above. Let's you book more than 2 per show and also more than 6 per account.

The offer is only for the 2nd-6th August, I'm there the 12th and 13th

It'll be my first time at the fringe, is there any tips on where to go/avoid??

Anybody know how/where to get a paper guide?

Hate navigating the Fringe website with the sheer amount of acts to go through.

    Thank you!
