Their new friend, April O'Neil, helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.
I saw some of this yesterday, probably one of the worst films I've ever seen, but then again I hated the show when I was younger and I still hate it now. And it tries really hard to be funny and appeal to the youth, it's one of those films where it tries really hard to be cool.
Oh by the way, you can see it for £1 at Odeon. Just select the plus seat. (edited)

Watched this with my 4yo on Saturday at this price and quite liked it. Never watched the TV series but I liked the unusual animation style, decent enough soundtrack. Inifintely preferable to Paw Patrol.

Kids will enjoy it. Even if you don’t, the art style of this animation is worth watching for.

The movie was better than the trailers at least. Someone decided to put all lthe cringiest parts into the trailers, an interesting decision for sure. (edited)

Me and my 7yo loved it. Grimy animation, great writing, loved the music and voice cast - no wonder it's been getting great reviews.
I would question why it's in this slot which is clearly aimed at a very young crowd whose parents might not research films before going. It's quite violent and not easy for a young kid to follow .. seems it'll attract the wrong audience here .. hope not too many families are disappointed!
