About this item
  • 【Speedy PLA Filament】: eSUN ePLA, improved based on ordinary PLA, not only retains the environmental-friendly characteristics, but also add special materials to strengthen its fluidity and fast printing performance, which makes it an ideal choice of cost-effective rapid printing consumables.
  • 【High Speed Printing】: eSUN ePLA, under the condition of 0.4mm nozzle Bambu P1 series machines, can reach the printing speed of 35mm³/s, and the maximum printing speed can be increased to 300mm / s. And it has good balance between high speed printing and printing quality.
  • 【High Compatibility】: eSUN ePLA filament, with excellent speedy printing performance, is better compatible with high speed printers, such as such as AnkerMake M5, Bambu Lab X1/ P1P, Creality K1/K1 MAX , Flsun V400, Raise3D Pro3/ RMF500, etc. And it can be used in cultural creativity, animation industry, film and television props, etc.
  • 【Easy to Print】: Compared with ordinary PLA filament, eSUN ePLA has higher precision, no warping, less brittle and not easy to break. And it melts well, feeds smoothly and constantly without clogging the nozzle or extruder, thus assuring high printing successful rate and better forming effect.
  • 【Fast Cooling& Smooth Extrusion】: eSUN ePLA, with more balanced melting and cooling performance, has smoother flow in the molten state, and it can be cooled faster when printing and moulding. And it has high fluidity and low specific heat capacity, and excellent fluidity and controlled viscosity factor avoid excessive stringing and sagging.

Generally speaking, the esun PLA seems to get quite positively reviewed on Amazon, but I've not had a great experience with it. In particular, printing long/flat items has been a nightmare with this stuff. Bed adhesion isn't great on a heated PEI bed and it benefits from a brim - but even with that, it warps like hell and lifts from the bed.

In the picture below, the purple print at the front was like a banana, whilst the XingTongZhilian PLA I usually use is completely rock solid.

I'm printing at 200 degrees hot end and 50 degrees heated bed, in a thermally controlled room (i.e. no crazy drafts). I don't have the printer in an enclosure, and maybe it could benefit from that, I dunno. Printing smaller/less flat objects, doesn't appear to be a problem.

Printing with an Elegoo Nepture 2S. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Try increasing both the bed and nozzle temperature, 50C is a little on the cool side for the heated bed, especially without an enclosure - I suspect eSUN PLA benefits from slightly higher temps to flow better. They also recommend 215C for the hotend. (edited)

I wrote a guide on how to use eSun filaments with Bambu printers because people often get it wrong. The only thing I would add to my guide (will update at some point) is that I use the cool plate with a bed temperature of 45 degrees. This solved all bed adhesion issues I previously had (inc Bambu basic filament.)

Get Eryone PLA instead. Absolutely perfect, I've always struggled with ESun

Check my guide above - it might help (maybe less if your 3D printer isn't Bambu).

I've had good results with eSun filaments, the orange has been my goto colour for projects that I don't need to have a specific colour. I'll be ordering a few rolls. Thanks

Filament is such a hard thing to post on HUKD. Every filament however good or bad has people who love it and people who hate it. Different printers just like different things and different filaments like different settings.

This means it is really hard for any filament to get the ratings required for an Amazon post on HUKD.

Every day I see great filament deals that I cannot post on Amazon.
