When comparing the two curves, the first thing you'll see is the aggressively flat line and relatively "clinical" response on the ER4-SR compared to the more "fun (or) v-shaped" response on the IE600.
The Etymotic fit/isolation is a highly polarising part of the experience, but I find my ER2SE to be comfortable once inserted, and continue to find details I miss on any other IEM/headphone when listening using them.
If you're at all a basshead, you'll probably find them anemic or strange, but I love the analytical presentation of music given to me by Etymotic's products.
