Do yourselves a favour - spend a bit extra and get a proper brand one

This has 10% higher TBW than the well regarded WD SN850, I'd say at a basic level that's at least proof they have trust in their product. It uses the same parts and probably even the same PCB as in other more well known rivals.

Fiangshiang have been around for years in China tho, being a lesser known brand in the UK doesn't make their products inferior, Xiaomi were once a little known brand.

Got the 2tb version a week or 2 ago and jt works great. Using in ps5 with a cheap heatsink I got from amazon months ago. Ps5 states read speed over 6000MB/s and I've used over 1tb of storage already. With 5 year warranty and 1400TBW can't go wrong can ya

Should be good for PS5 gaming too with a heat sink

At this price and performance, mightily tempted to get this for the PS5. Can someone in the know advise whether this definitely doesn't need a heatsink if used in the PS5 and if it does, a recommendation for one I should use and how you go about attaching the heatsink to this drive.

I rave on about fanxiang SSD's, but the S880 is the only one that's had ongoing issues since release.
Hopfully they've sorted it (may have just been a BIOS issue?).

Seems to be gone now in the 2TB size.
The S660 is still a solid option, though has slower sequential speeds (not very important for most people, inclusing PS5 owners), and it's a touch over £72 with the heatsink -
