Description
The Fender Stratocaster is such an iconic guitar, built for functionality, playability and reliability it has been a firm favourite for over 60 years. The Fender Player Stratocaster builds on the success of the Mexican Standard it offers an affordable way for everyone to experience what makes the Strat so special.

The traditional Alder body is typically well balanced and comfortable, as all Strat's are, and with a crisp Silver finish it looks real slick. It's super resonant and delivers a bell like high end, punchy mids and robust lows with flawless precision.

The Maple neck with Pau Ferro board features a 9.5" radius for a superb modern playing action without any choking. With a C shape profile and 22 medium jumbo frets, it offers a really comfortable playing experience; it's equally at home playing big chords or intricate lead work.

A trio of Player Series Alnico 5 single coils provide classic Strat spank. Offering a touch more bite than traditional Strat pickups, the Player Series are crisp and articulate. With a classic 2-point trem you can add some really sweet textures to your sound without compromising tuning stability.

Well-rounded and perfect for a broad range of styles, the Strat is the standard for gigging musicians, with amazing quality and playability they are ready to hit the stage or studio at any time.

I need a new guitar and am wondering if to get the Yamaha Pacifica 612 (£650 new), this deal or splash out £1.4k on a The American Pro II.

Any advice? I am upgrading from my beginner guitar

You've got a pretty big budget range there and any of those would be good but you've also got a massive choice in other models and brands. I'd figure out what sort of guitar / music style you want. A strat is radically different to the Epiphone Les Paul style one you have already, both in sound (humbuckers vs single coils) and feel (scale length is different).

Add in that they all can have different thinkness and profiles on the neck, weight etc it's not an easy choice.

If you are going to sink that much in to a guitar get yourself over to a decent music shop (i.e. guitar specialist) and try some out.

The guitar for you will be the one that feels best in your hands and inspires you to play.

I pulled out of buying a black Japanese 62 telecaster with cream binding the other day for 500..second hand..but still..a steal. Told.myswlf I didn't need another guitar..I lost count..I regret it. Don't let yourself be told you don't need another guitar.

Wow, that is cheap and I like the look too.
I think there is an oversupply of electric guitars post Covid, which would explian this.

No he was mainly a bass player in the Beatles and he is looking for his original Hohner bass that was used on much of the Beatles albums. Maybe he needs the services of Indiana Jones

    hofner.com/en/…ass

One tip you can tell the difference between a Bass and a Guitar because Bass has 4 letters and 4 strings and Guitar has 6 letters and 6 strings (There are exceptions but that has a nice ring about it, like Paul's Bass if it still exists somewhere out there) (edited)
