    Apparently increasing the internal resolution and adding an (ugly) anti-aliasing filter counts as a remaster nowadays, damn, looks like I've been playing remastered games for decades on emulators!

    Great game, awful "remaster". If you genuinely want to play this for the first time, play it on a PS1 emulator either on PC, your phone or Steam Deck. It's a superior experience in every way + you get save states which is an instantaneous save that you can instantly load from, really good for if you're half way through a long battle or correcting a recent mistake.

    I wish they didn’t butcher the character faces in this remaster. Too different from the original art style - kingdom hearts-ified even.

    Disappointed they didn't do a complete remaster with voice overs and graphics. They just put faces on moving pixels...
