I own one of these from last time the deal was up. Absolutely phenomenal power for the wattage. When idle it pulls about 6w, otherwise about 12w.

Only downsides is no USB-C interface, so you are capped at USB 3.1 speeds, and the NVME drive inside is only a micro form factor one, so upgrades aren't great.

Reinstalled Ubuntu Server on it and it's now running my plex and home security cameras. Put an NVME drive in USB adapter (both from hukd deals, total £130 but any USB drive would do) and put it in a cool, dry cupboard.

Not using a NAS or redundant drive as my plex content and my camera footage is not precious to me, camera footage is deleted regularly and plex content is recycled regularly.

anyone know if all drivers are available reinstall windows and where the activated legit

Yeah I reinstalled 11 straight away and was rolling immediately. Haven’t tried Ethernet or the audio jack to be fair, but all other drivers are fine.

This would be best value for money with the 16+512Gb spec.
The G3 is more upgradable, with some enhancements but performance similar to this if you were to swap out the 8Gb for a 16Gb RAM module (about £20 secondhand).
The MN56 is the most powerful & semi-upgradable, but likely to pay VAT & carrier fee on top.

Got one of these a few weeks ago when the last deal was posted and it's working nicely.
Played around with a few different builds now got Proxmox running 3x VMs for Arr services, home assistant OS and DNS/DHCP for Ad blocking. All running very well.

I used chase and got it for £112.75. No idea what I’m going to do with it like.

Great device if the bios is not compromised. Recommend a fresh install.

Make sure to reinstall windows and read two previous deals if it's your first time buying

The pre-installed Windows on these have actually much less bloatware than a fresh install. No need for scaremongering.

Code not working for me. Says can't be used with other discounts.

Edit - managed to get it to work but had to go via the apps Choice Day section. (edited)

£237 equivalent for the 7735HS barebones with code stack R6SD4YSVNWRT and 24CD25 & if paid in USD with a fee-free card (mini guide here if needed hotukdeals.com/com…514) or ~£253 if paid in GBP.
As no VAT being paid at point of sale, there's a very good chance it will incur this... £48 + £8-12 carrier processing fee when it is delivered.
Either way, this is better than if you bought from the Minisforum UK site at £349.

Can someone post a pic of the info on the supplied PSU. I'm wondering if it is multi-voltage.

I have an odd audiophile power conditioner which has 4 UK mains sockets and 2 US sockets. But the US sockets must also be 230V devices. I wanted to use one of the 2 US sockets if it the supplied adaptor is multi-voltage.

Ok I get you now, here it is from a previous deal - 100-240V hotukdeals.com/com…843

Is this home assistant compatible as much as raspberry pi?
    Peter9588's avatar
Ofc but probably overkill with a bare metal install. I run mine in a VMware vm on Ubuntu on this device.

Anyone recommend a decent m.2 ssd for this? What is the fastest for this form factor (2240 or 2242) .
Was hoping to get a 990 pro in it but they aint got one that size
    BrokehDM's avatar
it doesn't seem to have a mounting hole of 2230 ssd, as it sits above the wifi card and block the possible mounting hole. So it has to be 2242.

I would recommend getting a used one from cex, WD and Hynix are good, though I am not entirely sure about Sabrent.

Does anyone know if it turns on automatically when the power is connected?
    jagjit_r's avatar
Not by default, I'll check the BIOS later this evening to see if there is an option.

I also picked one up during the last session. Great little low powered (6watt) machine. Plenty of horse power for basic home server duties.

I would recommend you get a USB C power supply and dump the included one.
