I must be the only one who still can't get into this show .

For the first 4-5 episodes I too was wondering what's so great about this show. Then the crew started coming together and bonding. That's when the show changed for me and I couldn't wait to watch the next episode. It wasn't so much the stories. It was the crews interactions for me that made it awesome.

Continuing the off-topicality, it's an anime, but it could just as easily be a live-action series; it's more cerebral than a lot of standard TV shows. Give it a chance even if you're not an anime fan.

Just recently got round to watching the series on Netflix, it's actually pretty good, crazy the cancelled it. If your a fan of sci fi and fun stuff... Watch it :P

after you have watched it than watch the movie Serenity which they did as a continuation of the series so that they could bring the series to a conclusion of sorts

All things considered this is simply one of THE best series I have EVER watched. I loved it and it was shamefully cut short after 1 season.

Agree, just another reason to hate Rupert Murdoch cancelling this show. Only just watched it, one episode left and the film and I am dreading the end. Possibly the greatest TV show I have ever seem, almost certainly the best opening series ever (maybe Breaking bad was better?), DEFINITELY the best first episode ever!

I watched it for the first time recently and I thought exactly same as you,but after a few episodes everything came together and it just got better and better

I know this is off topic but somehow I recently started watching Japanese anime and I started off watching a fantastic series called Deathnote you can find the first episode on youtube.After a few episodes you will be hooked ,it is brilliant and I never thought of watching anime before !

this was ok .not great. but ok. enjoyed the movie a lot more. farscape and stargate atlantis were a lot better.

Quality series, watched on netflix. It grows and grows on you - how it got cut is beyond me!
