2kw = very expensive to run…  I can see Lazy spa for bargain bucket prices if the company survives

About 70p an hour, not particularly expensive to extend a spring, summer or autumn evening

I've never understood the wasteful concept of trying to heat up the outside air.

You're half right, you don't understand. Google radiant heating, you're welcome.

Just buy a few fleece throws rather than briefly heating the outside air before it all escapes up!

Thanks OP, but me suspects you need a lot of them to heat the outside up! It is bad enough trying to keep the inside warm?

Is this the 1.5degree global temperature rise scientists are on about .. quite a bargain

Not caused by the public, mostly corporate companies who pretend 'they are doing their bit'. Stuff that we have very little say over.

A friend of mine has it, it gives good coverage to a reasonably sized patio area even at the medium setting. 70p an hour isn't exorbitant to run it when you consider what a couple of drinks come to for an evening with friends. Obviously most people won't be using it daily.

    Bought and heated.

    Thanks OP.

He’s a really good, however a bit like the hot tubs. They’re very expensive to run now

Another GREEN bargain, I thought the planet was heating up quickly enough already.

Don't worry, I've got this covered.

To counteract this heater, I've just bought a fridge which I plan to use outside, and I'm going to keep the door open so that it refrigerates my patio.

Good shout - can now get a bit more use out of my hot-tub when it gets a bit nippy. Freezing you brass monkeys off when getting out of the tub takes away a lot of the enjoyment.

Any savings made purchasing at this price are quickly eaten up when you use it with current cost of electricity!!

    Thanks ordered one.

I do like the quartz heaters, I think they are quite efficient in what they do, however the life of the bulbs is quite less.
