I bought this watch and then gained 12Kg. Fitness watch my fat bottom.

The watch tracks your fitness, it doesn’t stop you gaining weight.

    Excellent watch.

I have had mine for just over a year now, having bought it for £407 when sportsshoes were running a 15% discount voucher. Considering that it has been superseded since then, I would have thought that they would have come down in price since then.

Love my 955 but next time I’ll splurge for one with tougher materials (in many years from now).

Is this day to day wear and tear, or do you do sports like climbing where it gets more heavily knocked around?

The Fenix line are quite heavy, so this is functionally nicer for sport.

Very cheap and plasticity materials on all the Forerunners. Fine if you're buying one of the cheaper models but the more expensive ones like this start eating into price ranges where you can get a Fenix if you shop carefully, and then you get a proper metal construction which is much more rugged and built to last.

I agree that the Fenix and Epix ranges look better. However, as Bgtesd mentioned above, the Forerunner is probably better suited to more active sports.

Being lighter, I find that it stays more attached to my wrist during exercise which means that the wrist based HR is more accurate than my Fenix. Obviously a chest based HR is even more accurate but I prefer not to wear one as a rule.

As ever, it really comes down to personal preference and what it is going to be used for.

is this just an elcheapo alibaba watch with "supposedly" better GPS (maybe better than the phone you will be carrying anyway?)

seems like another item (like most apple products) that include the idiot tax- also included would be BMWs Audis - an item you purchase for other people to notice about you

    No it isn't.

As you weren't aware of this then you aren't the target customer for this type of multisport watch. (edited)
