    By the time this lot get round to having a semi decent network and available in towns etc, virgin media and the others will be offeting 10gb service. Unless you have them where you are then a waste of time putting your name down. And their customer service base is in France. Take a look at some of the customer complaints they have had.

    The broadband provided by this company is behind a Carrier-Grade NAT. I was unable to open up ports to Plex, Xbox and my VPN didn't work. On the other hand they were very fast and great customer service. You can pay an extra £5 to have a static Ip address and open the ports. I cancelled within a week as it was not good having fast upload speeds I couldn't use. (edited)

    The only thing puts me off is that they apparently need to install a box in a hallway and then put wires to the living room? Can someone who already use it confirm how it was installed please?

    Can confirm they let you choose. Small Nokia box on the wall then over my existing CAT5e previously used for telephone sockets.

    Speeds are "case sensitive" (except K/k)
    b = bit; B = byte.-
    K (k) = kilo = 1000
    M = mega = 1,000,000; ,m =milli= 1/1,000
    G = giga = 1,000,000,000; g is meaningless in this context

    150mb/s is a little under 7s per bit. (edited)

    Mostly correct but m = milli

    Once the building goes ‘live’ you can choose between our 500 MB or 1GB FREE BROADBAND FOR 1 WHOLE YEAR on a 24-month contract. First 12 months completely free, and next 12 months you will receive the price of £30 (For 500MB) or £35 (For 1GB).

    You can use this promotion parallel to your current contract if you are still with another provider, or you can wait for your contract to run out to take on this offer. Please be advised that this offer is locked in once the Access Agreement (attached) is sent back to me and you will be able to activate the promotion whenever you are ready.

    no. it's their own network. Great ISP, I miss having them when I lived in Surrey we had their 1 gig service. Way better than the likes of Virgin Media we have now.

    You will need to wait for your contract to end and then only can opt for the deal.

    I talked to the customer representative a month ago and they suggested this.

    My contract is expiring tomorrow and I am happy to see this offer is still alive

    Unfortunately it seems to be building only - houses are not covered where I am - miss this - had it for 6 years in London on the 1gig plan - went down once - and upload was also equally fast

    my shifty Virgin plan with 50 meg upload on the 1 gig plan - appalling

    lol can't wait for cityfibre for finally connect to my street fully. They've been tearing up the streets right by me (multiple times?!) for months now and I'm still tied to virgin for anything about 17mb upload. Just cancelled with them at the end of my 18m and they best they can offer me is m350 for over £40 a month. Joke.

    Hi, how long is it taking them to complete the pre install check and then install? I signed up yesterday. They sent me a text a few hours later to ask me to login online and book an install but when I login there is no option to arrange!

    I'm in a Victorian London terraced and they went live on my street last month and offering this deal.

    Can I work from home using my work VPN or will it be blocked by their server??

    Signed up yesterday - after 24 hours they sent a message advising pre installation check will be on 25th May. Installation date TBC once they complete this. So I won't terminate my current Now broadband until I have a confirmed install date from Hyperoptic.
