Had a Motorola with 2GB/32GB and Android Go on it, perfectly fine if your looking for a cheap backup or just want basic social media/phone calls. Not everyone want's top end phones so £59.99 is great for what you're getting. (edited)

To 90% of mobile users, this will do the same as one of the 1k phones - make calls, texts and look at internet sites. It probably has a better battery life lol.

No Brother. I'm not letting you get away with random statistics. 90% of that statement is false. Only 10% would be anywhere near happy with this outdated, hamstrung POS.

Even at that price, I couldn't possibly recommend an Android phone with 2GB of RAM. My missus had the Xiaomi Mi A1 5 years back, and even that had 4GB to make it useful with similar specs to this; even then it struggled a bit with modern apps (and had a GPS that liked to go for walkies). I'd be curious to have a play with one of these.... Android Go 2gb ram could it be nice?

Had the option of 2 of these for £86 with Mi Points & vouchers but i'd didnt bite! (edited)

Of course, it's undoubtedly a deal as it's a Switchy classic, but Bro, this phone's not for 2023. Do not buy.

Is this the best budget phone for this price range?

It might be the only phone at this price range. I'll have a look.

    You can't do anything with 2 inches. I mean 2gb 😜😜😜

I have a 2GB phone and honestly I regret buying it every time I use it!. Just loading anything like email or a browser is a struggle, in fact most apps crash or simply can't be started after a while because memory is so tight on this.

Great price, but impractical spec. Best to avoid. (edited)

    I assume this doesn't have NFC ?
    tiree's avatar
It does according to the Argos specs but no according to GSMArena. It also has Micro USB charging rather than Type C.

Can I ask what would be better redmi note 12 pro or magic 5 lite thanks
    nigelbutler's avatar
Compare the specs at GsmArena as it'll depend what is important to you..... speed, screen, fast charging, lightweight or compact design.

    Both probably fine.

Also depends on your budget.... Magic 5 lite is a great mobile for £250. Brilliant batttery (edited)
