    Does it not? I managed to grab one last week albeit not as cheap as £2 though. It does give me a very smooth close shave. But i have only used it twice and owned it for a week so there is that

    I think this razor is another failure from Gillette. The replacement blades are just a crazy price.

    Not only that, but I swear the proglide blades don't last as long as they once did. I get 3 or 4 shaves, and then they yank on my face.

    The reason most blades start to drag is down to partly cleaning. Shaving after a shower means the skin is " clearer" of dead skin cells and the beard pores are open giving a better shave. Also pushing the blade head on a flat surface (e.g old bit of leather or jeans material) in an upward motion (opposite to the cutting edge keeps the blade in better condition. There are you tube videos about this. Finally, and another way to save if you use shaving gel, dispense an amount which covers your thumbnail. It is good as a measure and stops you wasting gel

    The problem is with 5 blade razors. It's fine if you use 3 blade ones or better still DE blades with a decent razor like Merkur.

    Love the marketing blurb. This seems a great price but since it's only the non-heated version I may save my pennies for that one instead in the hope can also keep my house warm at the same time.
