Good news for lefties, as there is one at the same price, however it is on the 3 tone sunburst model, so pretty limiting. The Lake Placid Blue model is the only HSS at this price.

The Legacy is one of G&L's most popular and enduring guitar models. Although it sports a number of the forward-thinking features that the late Leo Fender innovated during his time at the company, including a silky-smooth 'Dual-Fulcrum' tremolo and the flexible 'PTB Tone System' (passive treble/bass controls), it's fair to say that the Legacy bundles together some of the most time-honoured options from the G&L option order menu — reminiscent of a classic S-style guitar.

This particular G&L Legacy electric guitar is from the affordable Tribute Series. These instruments are made in the Far East, yet come equipped with almost all of the same electronics and hardware you'll find on the Fullerton Deluxe models made in the USA! It's a rock-solid workhorse that's incredibly versatile — thanks to its HSS pickup configuration.

• Poplar Body — Often likened to Alder, Poplar is comparably balanced in sound with a slightly lighter feel.
• Bolt-On Construction — Produces a snappy note response for an immediate playing experience.
• Medium "C" Maple Neck — Comfortable neck shape offers superb playability for both modern and traditional guitarists; enhanced with a slippery satin finish.
• Medium Jumbo Frets — Offer a controllable feel for wide vibrato and pitch-perfect string bends.
• G&L AW4368 Alnico Bridge Humbucker — Expect big, full and rich tones optimised for heavier styles! The push/pull split-coil switch (on the treble knob) serves up a convincing single-coil sound that further expands the potential of this flexible axe.
• CLF-100 Alnico V Single-Coils — Designed to capture the essence of the vintage '60s sound, with their medium output providing a slightly thicker mid-range than most single-coils without sacrificing clarity.
• PTB Tone System — Gives you two master tone controls, one that decreases the treble like a typical tone knob, and one that decreases the low-end. It's like having a built-in, passive 2-band EQ!
• Dual-Fulcrum Tremolo — This two-pivot, low-friction design provides a smooth and "silky" feel that allows you to bend notes up as well as down. The hardened steel bridge plate pivots on knife-edge bolts which are set into massive brass inserts anchored into the body; yielding brilliant sustain and resonance.
