I bought one a month ago. My example is pretty spotless and has around an 8 hour battery (though I only use it to write on)

Webpages load quickly and scroll along nicely

The speakers are loud enough but laughable in quality

The screen is beautiful and the whole package comes in at just over one KG

The keyboard is out of this world and the build quality is perfect for anyone that feels funny about fruits on a computer

I’ve bought three Lenovo Thinkpads in the last few years. They are ex business machines and bomb proof.
Ours are used for a watching films in the campervan, www, office stuff, video calls.

What effect does it being underpowered have on watching films or playing games on it?

Also, can anything be done/changed cheaply (e.g. the chip) to make it faster and more powerful?

    Basically, is it worth buying?

You can't upgrade CPUs or graphics, wouldn't buy this for gaming at all, just recommend buying for basic usage i.e web browsing, office stuff , shouldn't have issues playing videos

Nice Surface Pro competitor - though it’s a tablet more than a laptop and it has an Y series CPU so quiet and efficient but underpowered. Can’t really complain at this price though.

What laptop would you recommend around this price point and size, thinking of one for travelling with, just web, social and possible word processing?

How will Roblox run on this?

Minimum details & with low resolution it will run... but what's the point.

Hi, I know this has expired but there are still some knocking around on ebay. I'm looking for something compact for travelling. It's either this or the Dell 5285 (using i5-7200U). I've googled to death a comparison of the two but can find nothing. They are a similar price but the Dells seem to sell in huge numbers and I can't see why. The X1 looks to have a similarly powered but more efficient CPU (i5-7Y54), higher res screen, and arguably better build quality. Any info from those in the know? thks (edited)
