An effortless way to get sleep insights
Sleep Sensing uses motion and sound to analyse the way you sleep. It understands when you go to bed, when you get up and how long you’ve rested.
Every morning, you can see your sleep summary on Nest Hub. Or just ask, 'Hey Google, how did I sleep last night?'.

Get a good night’s sleep, night after night.
Sleep Sensing helps you improve the way you sleep with personalised insights and helpful tips. And after getting to know your sleep patterns and habits, it gives you weekly suggestions for more consistent sleep.

Take your sleep data on the go.
With the Google Fit app, you can view your sleep data throughout the day and get helpful tips based on your sleep history. Google Fit also works with health and fitness apps you may already use, so the information that you need is in one place.

You’re in control.
At any time, you can turn off Sleep Sensing. You can also turn off the mic with the mic switch.

Your sleep data is safe.
Your coughing and snoring sound data doesn’t leave the device. Your sleep data is not used for ad personalisation, and you can review and delete it at any time.

Nest Hub respects your privacy.
You can turn off the mic at any time with the mic switch. And easily clear your Google Assistant history whenever you want.

Thoughtfully designed, inside and out.
Simple design. Sustainable materials.
Nest Hub’s simple design and subtle colours fit any room. The display adjusts to ambient room light, so it’s not too bright or too dim. And it’s built with the environment in mind – 54% of its plastic-part material is made with recycled content

Picked one up for the same price a year ago, so good offer, nice device, still pleased with it

Weird, £49.01 taken out. Not going to argue but that seems strange.

    Thanks for the deal

Purchased via PayPal, got the same £49.01 price with a PayPal offer for £3 off for some reason, so paid £46 (edited)

I chose standard delivery instead of express and it's already dispatched! That was quick

These were given for FREE last year in John Lewis with a purchase over £100.

Do these work well with nest door bells?
I know it's all doable, just thinking if it's worth it / does it work well on the day to day?

First World problem but I find it annoying getting my phone out and waiting for the nest app to load when the doorbell is rung

Obligatory warning that this doesn't have a camera so video calls will be one-sided. If that feature is important to you, you'll need the larger Nest Hub Max.

What are the benefits of having these? Do they work as a basic tablet?
    robstirling82's avatar
Not really. We've got several around the house.
Kitchen one is used as a timer, reads out recipes, does unit conversion and I use it to catch up on the news while washing up.
Office one is used as a clock, music player and for nest doorbell alerts. I.e. so my wife can see who is there before bothering to duck out of a meeting just to find out it is some timewaster.

Bedroom one is used as an alarm clock, to turn in/off lights, check in on the toddler (via a Kasa cam) and weather updates.

All also revert to a digital photo frame when not actively being used.

I'd get another one for the living room but I'm waiting for an offer on the max.

For £50 they are a cracking bit of kit.

I hate mine. Disconnects frequently, isn't avilable to cast, screen is too slow to use. Avoid.

Its ok have multiple uses so long you shout at it orders. if you just wanted a smart looking alarm clock theres probably lots of cheaper choices. The app bar is nowhere to be found or its just buggy and will work one day when it feels like it who knows. Tried the sleep thing but it displayed nothing then option in menu vanished ? Seems to me its a case of waiting long time for updates. Some of the posts in google forum go back nearly 2 years talking about some bugs.

Update oddly stuff on it is now working who knows. The wifi issue remains.
