Worth a go if you've been eyeing these up.
This is the older set of the ones that Govee offer. Yep, it uses a camera, which can be mounted up top or at the bottom (I prefer it at the bottom) Colours take some dialling in via the app and often I find folks overlook white balance and brightness a fair bit, when trying to get as close as possible to colour matching.

I've had some good success with mine, but personally prefer them quite dim.

It looks like Govee have started moving into other methods of colour matching, with some of their products now using a sync box or software via the PC itself. Will be great to see how that matures, especially given the prices of the Philips alternative.

Anyone know if you can buy the camera on it's own? I have the version for the smaller sized TV's, though I have a 55" screen. It does work OK with it but would prefer to have the 55"-65" screen camera if possible.

From what I've read, the camera should work without a problem, it's just a case of finding the camera for sale on it's own (which I've not been able to find). Anyone have any ideas?

Got our T1 delivered this morning for new 65” TV, having real trouble with it making red for everything. Really hoping that will sort itself out tonight when it’s darker. We’ve shut blinds and out blankets up the windows.

Disappointed so far so really hoping it gets better!

Also, worth noting the camera can’t quite see the top corners of a 65” tv, it almost gets there, but not quite. (edited)

Look for Govee Calibration videos on YouTube. They're much better for setting it up than the orange blocks they give you.

Also, go into the Govee app and then to Colour Calibration. Turn down the Saturation to about 8% and play with the White Balance slider until it's how you want it.

Mine is tuned in so good now, it's working brilliantly.

I also took my camera to bits and altered the casing so it works better for slim TVs and it's now lower profile.
