Having now got the Ooni koda 16 there's no going back to only a 12" oven.

This is far better than the oonie! Designed for commercial use aand Used by pro pizza makers / business. Use ours weekly, amazing for steaks / meat joints.

although tempted to upgrade to the dome

There's a good comparison here for anyone trying to decide - roccbox heavier as better insulated, ooni available in bigger 16" size and chimney models much better if you plan on using wood

Absolutely brilliant piece of kit.had one since the crowd funder days .just to point out it can be dual fuel but this does not include the wood burner attachment which is purchased separately. The new wood burner is much better but gas is so much easier and convenient. For the lenght of time its in there ,90 seconds, its been open to alot of debate and discussion how much flavour the wood burner gives on this particular model. It is portable as in its not a permanent fixture which is good as its very heavy !!

Question for the owners. Is the turning peel necessary or you can make do with the peel it comes with?

You can make do, but i would buy mine again if needed. So much easier.

Had mine a little over a year. Been brilliant. Does take a few goes to get the hang of but pizza is now a fortnightly meal in our house even through winter. In last few weeks also done fajitas, roasted potatoes with pork belly and steaks with some cast iron cookwear (ooni) which has been great too.

Mine blew up in my face trying to get it replaced under warranty has been a nightmare, just be aware if it starts glowing very bright to turn it straight off.

Now I have an Ooni 16 Koda which is brilliant

I've been looking at them for a couple of weeks after seeing reviews saying they were better than the Ooni's.
Went on this morning and saw the offer so had to bite at the price, not heard a bad thing about them.

Yeah I'm tempted by the cover, but I'll be wheeling my setup back into the summerhouse when it's not in use so not sure if I'll need it.

Awesome bit of kit. It might seem expensive but if you replace your domino’s orders with this beauty, you’ll make your money back on it in no time.

Watch some tutorials on YouTube though… I messed up our first few pizzas!!

I have this, but the extra space in the 16" comes handy. If I'd buy again, I'd go 16".

I used to own one until I upgraded. I hated the ash build up on the ceiling of the oven which would fall onto the pizzas. Never liked the yellow flame which isn’t as efficient as a nice clean blue flame.

Great deal! I’ve had mine for around 3 years now and love it. Also includes a perforated pizza peel which is amazing quality.

Voted Hot great price, hoping to get the Witt Etna Fermo if drops below £450, currently £521 with discount so a little way to go yet or Witt Rotante (but that version may be more than I'm willing to pay for quite awhile yet)

You can buy a Bighorn oven and mod it with an Ooni burner for less than £160. I have one and the pizzas come out amazing, had mine over a year now.

What size is this, I’ve been looking at Ooni Karu 16g
    Bobsalot's avatar
    Bobsalot Author
It's 12inches so not as big as the Karu 16. This can churn out pizzas faster apparently, so it's up to you if you want slower bigger pizzas or faster smaller pizzas I suppose.

I just use a cheap one from Amazon, and large plastic food container from a supermarket greased with a little olive oil (edited)
