sorted byYes it has been cheaper in the past. When I bought rhe 40 piece set the plastic case hinges broke the first time I opened it, but the tools are fine.
Shame too the AA no longer offer their members. a 10% discount which you used to be sble to stack with these deals, which with Halfords come round in a circle.
If you need something cheap I found this on Amazon for under £15, only 5 left. Probably not as good as Halfords set, but half price, and good for occasional use, shame that only 14mm max socket, but same as Halfords.
KATSU 46PCs 1/4 Inch Socket Set £14.99
The non-advanced 1/4 set is pretty decent too really.
3/8" will have the strength to tackle bolts on your car such as
- sump bolt for an Oil Change
- brake caliper bolts for New brake Pads and Discs
- fitting New Spark Plugs
1/4" is too weedy for anything beyond maybe 30nm torque. (edited)
