£29.99 in store if you live close to one (no delivery cost).

They had loads in my local the other day

Does it give you the wattage? Any guarantee?

Check the size - I've got one that's 180cm, which is nice. Bought a few others that are only 160cm... cold feet for me, but OK for the kids

Thanks for giving feedback as it will help others. I think it would be good with another blanket over as it will trap the heat.

How many watt is this throw and is there a guarantee?

I haven't seen any info on a guarantee but it's 110w so very cheap to run

They are very effective at keeping you warm if your stationary at a desk or just sitting/lying down and don't want to or can't have the heating on full.

My wife and I have one each (from Amazon). Excellent for keeping you warm and not the whole house. Ours are only 120W so quite economical (if you can call it that).

Havent tried mine but just to let others know the offer is ongoing. There were about 7 of them on the top shelf priced at £30 at my local.

There are 2 other ones I can see on offer via hduk both are around £44

Wouldn't you lose most of the heat as there is nothing to trap it? Whereas the heat from an electric blanket is trapped by the duvet

I have a lidl one, not strictly relevant but its absolutely great for sitting at a desk with no heating on.

If only personal heat lamps were a cost effective thing though

    True, seeing the glow helps.

These are really cost effective way of keeping you warm though as warming a room as big as mine costs too much especially if its just one person at home.

Just arrived - sadly doesn't work. Just says E on the screen which apparently means error and to contact customer service... but there's no customer service number.

Do you think you could return the item to a store if ordered online?
  16. jellytotz's avatar
can't order, keeps clearing basket when you proceed to payment
    Bentbaby's avatar
    Yes, same.

Can't see a brand name, or electrical rating, hope that this is not just a cheap import, as some elec blankets (not throws as this is) have been proved dangerous. I have a Dreamland throw, it is rated at 150W with 2yr guarantee, and is great. On high (no.6) setting cost is just under 5p per hour. After you have warmed up, turn it down to no.2 or 3 and will cost around a couple of pence. 'heat the human not the home' as Martin Lewis would say (edited)

wouldn't trust anything from Home Bargains. Especially unbranded.

What conducts heat better, ni chrome wire or copper wire? I'm experimenting on something or will be doing but some say ni chrome wire is best conductor? Any leccys or experts in this have an idea?
