COLD - As prices made me try own brand alternatives,

I would not pay these prices anymore.

Same a long time ago - l prefer Tescos own more than others regardless of price - they ranked 8th in a Which? Taste test survey.
    Heinz also ranked joint 8th

See how your preferred brand ranked…

Just out of curiosity what is the cheapest can of beans you can buy nowadays :/

The Morrisons Savers one is like 27p/can.
I conducted a personal taste test against a tin of Heinz beans.
What I found was that whilst heating on the hob, if I add half a tea spoon of salt and two table spoons of tomato passata into the Morrisons Savers beans.
It tastes miles better than the Heinz beans.
I don't buy Heinz beans anymore.
And for reference, a single tin of Heinz beans costs £1.25/can.
Over 300% more expensive than a single tin of Morrisons Savers beans.
After figuring out my little 'hack' on 'elevating' the humble tin of Morrisons Savers baked beans, I haven't looked back to be fair. (edited)

Heinz literally robbing people. Boycott their products.

Exactly, 2 brands I stay away from now if I can, Heinz & Walkers

This is a no deal for me. These used to be £3 a pack standard price and £2.50 when on offer. If Heinz wants me to buy them, half the price.

Sorry, but Heinz beans are the best

If they're that bad, how come all other beans try and emulate them? (edited)

Disagree. Branston beans are amazing. Better than Heinz.

    4 x 6 packs on s&s for £15.25. 24 tins of beans, that's a lot of farting

I just buy the cheapies. Maybe these are better but not worth 5x the price.
    sashforth's avatar
but these are 12 cans for less than £8 depending on your S&S status. (edited)

Gone are the days of 7p Netto beans, charity beans baths would cost more than the donations nowadays, at least 2K to fill a bath

true you can get beans for 27p but for me it can only be Heinz I would rather do with out than eat other brands, thats why there are 83 tins in my garage !! and yes I do live alone

As someone else said Heinz and Walkers are highwaymen I would never give either another penny and haven't for a few years now.
  17. clarkydpimp's avatar
Can't believe there are people prepared to pay this price for beans such a basic product, I stopped buying them purely cos I won't allow them to take the pee!

The last lot of Heinz soup I got from Amazon (2 weeks ago) had every single tin dented. Looked like every one had been stood on.

Anyone who added these on S&S check the price before you receive your order. Mine were £13 for 24 tins when I added them. Amazon has increased the price to £16 whilst in my S&S.
