These are my batteries of choice! Best value and performance I’ve found. They best my Duracell, energizer, tronic and Amazon batteries. I’ve never tried eneloops personally, but I know people rate them extremely highly.

Agreed these are really good rechargeables for the price per battery, usually have to buy a 16 pack when on offer to achieve the £1.20 mark

Had some of these about a year. I use them in xbox controllers, remotes, toy cameras etc and they're fine. Nothing too intensive. Needed some more, so thanks

To be fair they get quite good reviews here, they're probably not Eneloop level of long term performance but possibly similar to Amazon Basics/Tronic etc.

Useless review really. They don't test them over time, just a few quick uses and charges. I know from experience the Energiser ones are crap and after a year most were useless. I'm still using some 10 year old eneloops no problem. The amazon basics ones are crap, a while later they'll be much lower capacity and self discharge a lot over time. Duracells 2500s are decent but their cheaper ones suck.

I wish Expert reviews were that, expert. Personally I'd discharge and charge them in a proper charger and see how much capacity it is discharging and charging them. and how equal the voltages of all the cells are over time. And I ain't no expert.

    Bit suspicious about the capacity.

Only unknown brands make such a high capacity AS, then most of the time all of those claims tend to be false.

Why are they 1.2V, thought AA/AAAs are 1.5V?
    Roger_Irrelevant's avatar
Think Alkaline etc. are 1.5 but NiMH are 1.2, most stuff can cope with the lower voltage.

I've got these.. I bought 16 AA and 8 AAA just over a year ago. They seemed good at first but I'm now down to 9 AA and just 3AAA the rest no longer charge and just say error on my charger..
