sorted byDon't read reviews on Trustpilot. It's a cesspit for people who have had issues to complain.
The only good-rating reviews that you will find are on there are from people who have been bribed with free gifts or prize draws. People don't go out of their way to leave a good review on Trustpilot unless there is something extra in it for them.
It's a similar story for the big brands. Sony scores 1.6 out of 5, Samsung 1.3
I've had the previous version of this TV (HK6100U from 2020) for 20 months. About 3-4 hours usage per day. Still works perfectly, and the picture quality was better than the Samsung RU7400 that it replaced (which failed just out of the 12 month warranty). I just needed a cheap TV to tide me over until I could afford an OLED, but I was pleasantly surprised and kept it in my living room for 16 months or so. The price was better though, at £299. (edited)
Quality is similar, the panel backlight is dimmer on the Hisense compared to the Hitachi. I prefer the OS on the Hisense (Vidaa) but neither are particularly good where software is concerned. Build quality on the low end Hisense TV's is flimsy, with lots of flex in the panel. Motion processing is also worse on the Hisense, specifically with 25fps content (UK TV channels).
Warranty is worth a lot though these days with TV's as they often die within 5 years. If you get a longer warranty on the Hisense at Costco then get that. (edited)
Reccommended HOT HERE.
How long have you been looking for a new TV with a good Freeview HD picture now?
User reviews are only good for one thing and that's reliability. I'm not going to trust George from down the roads review saying it's the best TV he's ever owned and he wouldn't buy anything else at this price when his last TV was bought in 1973.
At least with professional reviews, they actually compare it to other TVs for the price and know what they are talking about.
But if you want a big, cheap TV, this looks ideal. Ignore HDR, as usual at this price you'll get nothing close to HDR, just leave it off. (edited)
Really thought it was a vestel ?
Whatever it is? Reviews & comments are very happy with it.That's what counts. (edited)
Yes but will it last long ? I’d buy it tomorrow if it was well made
You could say that about most TVs nowadays LG,Samsung,Philip's etc, any of these could develop faults within a couple of years of ownership.
No pleasing some people.I think you expect OLED picture quality at this price, don't comment on the picture quality if you haven't got the TV.
All I said about picture quality was about the HDR performance, which is fact at this end of the market. It's probably going to give you a decent picture at this price point but don't take my word on that
That’s great because I have an amazon fire stick
Is freeview HD a good picture on this tv ? (edited)
I don’t throw money away
I'm afraid I can't help you there - only used it with streaming services and ps3
Is 1 of the HDMI connection Arc or Earc on this as i cant find a manual for this online ?
Yes one of the HDMI ports is an ARC port.
