GORE-TEX Upper To avoid damp feet, and therefore dampened spirits, a GORE-TEX membrane resides inside the shoe; supplying a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. Sometimes it's hard to stay dry without developing that distracting clammy feeling, but GORE-TEX keeps water on the outside while letting perspiration escape from the inside; keeping sweat to a minimum and you, cool and comfy. Surrounding the upper of the Challenger ATR 6 is an extremely breathable mesh, which will work to keep you feeling ventilated and comfortable no matter what. Air that builds up within that is warm will be able to escape out, where it is then replaced by cooler air from outside the shoes. This will work constantly for effective ventilation. The mesh is made from up to 30% recycled polyester, making the shoe a more sustainable and greener version of the Challenger ATR. As well as this, the upper has been redesigned to feel a lot more lightweight, allowing you to improve your times, as well as giving you complete freedom. A reinforced toe box, will provide essential protection from any bumps or knocks that you might receive on the trails, deflecting them away from the forefoot.
