I wonder how good these are really compared to the DJI drones?

    Awful, genuinely awful.

Such a waste of money. Buy a used entry level DJI drone. Even the Mini 2 is still capable of brilliant 4k footage, and they'll be tons that are going for a song online due to people upgrading.

No need for a drone, but want to buy!

You may want to look at a lighter one for a first drone, any over 250g require a licence to fly them (£25 and an online test last time I did one), plus they have more restrictions over where you can use them.

Can be had for free on Temu according to an Instagram add they keep showing me.

    So guess this is cold?

Except that the temu one isn't even truly 720p. I was going to post something to this effect, but I know nothing about drones except how to crash them so thought I'd keep quiet 🤐. Same remote. Same cheap plastic look. Same slightly wonky camera mount. (edited)

This compared to the new mini 4k?

    It doesn't.

    Here's a review:

Doesn't look too bad, and at the deal price it's a bargain! Just be aware it's over 250g so is more restricted than a DJI Mini.

Interestingly you can fly it without a phone connected, but the screen of the remote only gives basic info, not a feed from the camera.

What restrictions are there because it's over 250g?

Does this come with the remote id ?

Reviews say that the range is very bad on this so just beware

I joined the various Facebook groups and then went for a Potensic Atom SE over DJI with no regrets. Potensic has a brilliant support, constant app updates and a great community. The only reason I never considered Holy Stone was the 250g weight but it's no biggie, it just has more restrictions. HS seem to be a big player, while I wouldn't buy this, I'd certainly consider them in future.

What was your reason for choosing the Potensic over a DJI?
I am looking for a drone myself but unsure which one to choose.

Range isn't great. Second hand Spark or Air would probably be a better choice.

Has it been upgraded to a class 2 relic drone, Father?

Comparing DJI to Holystone is apples and pears and aimed at different customer bases.

Holystone is not perfect, I've had two of their drones, one I still have, the other is probably somewhere in a bush around southern Milton Keynes! GPS or interference issues have dogged Holystone for a long time. Range can be an issue, but if you can't keep eyes on your drone you're asking for trouble, whatever drone you have.

For this type and size of drone it is fair value. Especially if you're new to drones and want to keep costs down, learn how to fly with a few features like GPS. Rather than an "all bells and whistles" DJI, which even second hand is ridiculously overpriced.

Holystone customer service is also very good at sorting replacements out with little quibble.

It takes 10 minutes to "learn to fly" a drone, and I feel sorry for anyone wasting money on this crap instead of buying a DJI.

    Dont bother, absolute garbage.

Is it worth saving £100 between this and Dji Mini 4K? Never had a drone but always super tempted
