I cant go very long without a caffeine hit.... and even less for a nicotine fuelled vape.

PennyTrader

So long as you made time for coffee and vape breaks then it’s all good (:I

Biker.Jeff

Just put mine together... Took about 90 minutes on my own, but thats with spending time checking every part was included and a few coffee & vape breaks. And you may need a small knife, as there's some plastic swarf left over from the moulding process. Also, if using a cordless drill/screwdriver, its important to have the right torque setting so as not to overtighten and damage the screw locations. I'm happy with it for £95, and while it isn't that secure (but neither are most sheds) i'm sure it'll last a good amount of time when put together properly and situated on level ground, preferably hard standing. I've put mine in a sheltered from the wind & sun area. Jobs a good un.

niggit

So you thought you'd add another pointless comment (y)

philhib1964

Probably because I got bored reading the pointless comments so entered my comment before I got to yours otherwise I wouldn't have wasted my time or energy. (cheeky) Bit expensive for a padlock?

They took a lot if goid stuff away before the closing down sale started. On a positive side if you find a item that they cant find the price you will get it for free

Oneday77

Look up, it’s is management decisions not governments to blame. Not to mention the internet and changing consumer loyalties. Politics cause other problems but here it’s not the governments job to shore up the capitalists, only the capital before you sidetrack into banks. Oh and quit the agenda or your posts will disappear, the mods hate political speech.

byron

Kron1c Why should I. After all I'm a honest decent citizen not trying to bleed the country dry like these Tories. Guess your a tory then.

Oneday77

Clearly you have an agenda but let’s try shall we. Woolworths - Folded 2008 2 years before stories. Blockbuster - Global company, destroyed by streaming. Phones 4 U - Lost major mobile phone contract, T-mobile I think it was. C&A - 2000 Tony Blair Comet - has been sold by successive owners. Same as Homebase, never modernised. Staples - global brand again. MFI - 2008, not who you blame. That’s just some. I’m not wanting to get political, otherwise the comments will be removed. Management of businesses need to wake up and adapt. Modernise or die out. Stop treating consumers for fools and selling them poor service and product offerings.

kenwebb1953

You missed a few. M+S, HOF, Woolworths, BHS, Staples, Banana Republic,Austin Reed, Phones 4 U, Blockbuster, Barrattss, Tie Rack, JJB Sports, Past Times, Comet, C + A, Focus, MFI, Dixons........... Want some of the smaller chains too? It's just coincidence that Tory has been controlling us that these have all gone. Or is it?

Totally agree- mine developed the gangsta lean and that was with all the heavy stuff on the bottom shelf. Replaced with metal now and don’t have gangsta in the garage anymore!

snappyfish

lol, loving the plastic shelf experts. It's £13.60 will be good enough to plop a few tins of paint and a few boxes of screws in shed or garage.

jay1

Heavy duty (lol)

jeeeeeez

These are good but they are made of plastic so don't expect them to happily have heavy things clunked on and off of them regularly. I would probably feel comfortable with up to one item weighing 8kg or lots of small things weighing 15kg if the rating is 30kg. Certainly worth £13 whichever way you spin it.

sam_of_london

Cold . Lots of broken pieces . I had to charnge two times. Homebase stores are full of broken rubnish . This is not even made by Keter . Homebase just put sticker on their own rubbish.

Tried the sad face but didn’t work. £2.50 for one chisel. Oh well still good price and quality

saintsmoney

Another happy ending (y) 3 chisels for £2.50 that's not too bad at all - with the right attitude, firm but polite. The other chisels sat waiting (lol) sorry Homebase manager Nice 1 shutterlag!

5hutterlag

Thanks for the post. I reserved a set to pick up this morning. Was told I could only have one. I insisted it should be a set (as described) and got to speak to a manager. Only 3 of the 4 sizes in stock but he offered to do the 3 sizes they had for a total of £2.50. I agreed as he clearly doing the best he could. I could see several other individual chisels on the shelf awaiting collection so I guess I won’t have been the only one paying them a visit today. Staff on shop floor were polite, can’t be easy for them if those responsible for the descriptions on the website keep making errors. Just got to find the hidden nails on the next bit of wood I work on so I can wreck this set as well

Stevesnowflake

Just had a call saying they are not a set.

I went into Homebase in the summer it was £65, I have watched it every day, it went to £49.95. I have been waiting for the time they get ready to put out their Xmas decs and checking their website daily, it was reduced to £42 therefore I have been and bought three today for gifts. The £70 was the cheapest I could get it elsewhere, it’s never been £70 in Homebase. They offer a price match, but it was never as cheap as£49.95 anywhere else before the reduction.

marianhorti

It's been around that "sale" price all year round in my local Homebase. Never seen it at £70. I noticed that in my local Homebase when they put some items on "sale" they list an over-inflated RRP. The other day they had a garden table on sale at around £120 reduced from £500. Let's get real..... Not voted either as the listed sale percentage is good and bought some bargains from Homebase in the past....a shame about the misleading RRP prices.

Dianana

Summer will be here before you know it, but they can be used at xmas time indoors too, in conservatory maybe! Men always like their beers cold!

Wirralbargains77

This time of year they should be giving them away

not knocking the homebase deal atall ( voted hot as some bargins to be had )... just a word of warning though, all homebase stores that are closing have a zero returns policy now even if goods are faulty!!! i brought something the other day from solihull store and was told management have now told cashiers ( not there fault by the way ) to tell customers that items are sold as seen, no returns under any circumstances, cannot even return to another homebase that isnt closing.. they have also removed all returns information from the receipt and replaced it with words to the effect "goods sold under special conditions, customer informed"???? anyway good deals to be had but just a word of warning incase anyone is thinking of purchasing high price items...

Just used a few different colours in our living room, bathroom & toilet. They had B&Q own brand paints reduced to between £8-£10 per 2.5L & got to say I thought it was really good stuff easily as good as the Dulux we also used on another wall Have used the 2.5L Crown colours before & they were fine. Always wary of these bulk tubs as wonder if its a bit "runny"

just about to plaster an extension so this would be great for watering down for a base coat. thanks op

jacko791

Used a tub of crown paint that was left over when we had decorators in, purchased from local supplier and it was decent stuff. Bought a tub of this exact one from homebase (one I had before was slightly different branding on the tub) and it was useless, seemed similar but really watered down. The original tub I had wasn't labeled as trade, just had very slightly different design on the tub. So it seems there are different grades of crown paint available. This stuff actually comes up thinner than what I would normally mix up for a mist coat.

Proper Johnstones TRADE is sold in johnstone decor centres is good tackle, a lot of pro decorators like myself use it, their budget range is leyland TRADE is pretty good for the money, the contact matt covers well, better than this coloured water...
