Went to get 6 tins of Red Cedar on 3 for 2 offer and noticed that there are 9L tins for £17 which is slightly cheaper. But unfortunately, the colour I was looking for is not available in the big tins. A very helpful guy at the till said that he will price match the 3 big tins price for 6 small tins.. So, got 6 tins for £34.. bargain...!!!

yes that paint is good but make sure you give it at least 2 - 3 coats in one day as after that its waterproof and you need to spend a while sanding it down again!

Saw this in-store yesterday. Good deal. Thought I'd post when I get home but slipped my mind. Thanks OP. Heat added

one of the best wood treatments for fences is ducksback. Normally well over £10 sometimes £15 in some places. I paid £10 at B&M's the other week, 3 for less than £20 is great deal

Bought some last week and they do seem to break quite easily especially …Bought some last week and they do seem to break quite easily especially round the rims. Also after a 50 mile round trip on Friday, ring first to make sure the stores have them,I did a click and collect for a store showing lots in stock, and when i turned up to collect they only had 4 with lids and a lot of them were broken. They then sent me to another store showing loads in stock, but they had none, and they then sent me to a 3rd and final store to finally get them

Their stock control is abysmal/shambolic.

They advertised some 3 for 2 boxes that were perfect for storing some kit that I have. I checked the local store stock online and their system was showing 5 in stock at each of my closest stores. So I reserved some and off I went.

1st store, stock system shows 5 were booked in in May - they cant find them. They apologise, ring 2nd store to check they have them. yes according to their 'system' they do... so off I go.

2nd store. 5 were booked in in May - they cant find them....

Staff apologetic and offered me a 3 for 2 on any box in store which was appreciated but not really any good to me.

Really, in this day and age they should be able to manage their stock standing on their heads. The way they are operating does'nt inspire much confidence about the longevity...

I reserved one for click & collect - was showing as in stock at my local store. I got a phone call from the store about 1 hr later explaining that there were none - someone had reserved all the stock at that store and also the next nearest! (validates previous comments about online stock levels being inaccurate) However the store assistant helpfully explained that there were plenty at distribution centres available to order, so if I were to come in to the store I could order from there, and have as many as I liked, but I would have to pay up front rather than pay on collection.

Hope that info is helpful to some

Hi, great! thanks for the tips, I just initial thought they are too heavy for my bus trips, I should properly reserve more now, really new one to sort out all the garden staffs before winter time.

thanks, sadly I don't think I could manage more than one on public bus, …thanks, sadly I don't think I could manage more than one on public bus, too heavy and too big for me. The big problem is homebase keep closing down the branches, now the nearest one is miles miles away and I need to take more than one bus to get there.

Ive got similar boxes, I don't think they are that heavy for an average adult, personally I wouldn't mind carrying 3-4 of the them in the bus...feeling awkward is perhaps a problem..

Homebase stop doing this product that's why you can't view on their website, but if you ring your local store with the product number starting with 3138 as seen on the receipt they will able to tell you whether they are available or not. I didn't have in my local store but they can able to view on their system with the nearest store and I went there to buy. It's good tent with good size. will this guard from rain as well?

It would shelter you from a very light shower. The hydrostatic head is only 500mm and no taped seams. However, I treated our previous one with some Nikwax Tent & Gear Solar proof which made it perfectly good in our ever changing climate!

Good deal. But Homebase need to get their act together. The website doesn't even list the product. If it's still being sold in some stores, they should still at least list it and teell us which stores still have it in stock.

To say they are quicker than gas is completely wrong. Even my little gas stove can boil our 1.5ltr kettle of water in under a minute. The induction hob is about 3 minutes.

If you call Bosch Customer services, you get a recorded message telling you that if you bought a Qualcast item from Homebase or Argos, your warranty has nothing to do with Bosch and says to hang up the phone lol. Also the Qualcast manual even has the manufacturer listed in it as Homebase etc. This product has nothing to do with Bosch.

True but all Qualcast items along with some spear & jackson items sold by Argos/ homebase are owned by Argos (sainsburys group) warranty or after care for these products are not provided by Bosch/qualcast as they are not manufactured by them and has nothing to do with them .
