Picked this up yesterday, after toying with Lenovo P11 2nd gen (£290-299) / Xiaomi Pad 6 (£370 UK price!).

Really impressed with it! I needed something to watch Youtube/downloaded content, music, few games, and audiobooks/books. Picked up a case too direct from Honor.

It's super slim, feels really solid with the metal case, and pretty light. Big screen but still fits neatly in my small day pack bag.

Bunch of software from Honor preinstalled but it's not too bad, I just installed Nova Launcher Prime and have either disabled or hidden all their apps.

Also another pro for me was it's preinstalled with Android 13 already, apparently the P11 Android 13 version keeps getting pushed back, and from my experience with multiple Lenovo tablets they are very slow.

I did like the idea of having an attachable keyboard for a while, but I know from owning the Lenovo Duet that I just wont use it anyway. (edited)

I am thinking between this, P11 2nd gen, if the latter one was at the same price, which one is better? Does the extra ram on P11 make any real difference? I use it for YouTube and office, minimal games (edited)

Is it worth paying an extra £20 for the Honor Pad 8?
    uscool's avatar
I have both , I would say no this has faster CPU , 120hz screen, double tap or raise to wake up which I can't do with the pad 8

11.5 to 12 inch not much difference

    yes

I bought this for £161. Warning it don't come with charger and if you want fast charging you have to buy their 66 watt charger. It then charges at 17.5 watt maximum.

this or the Huawei from yesterday?
    Crossbow's avatar
The Huawei is better in almost all aspects gsmarena.com/com…404
Depends on your usage & whether or not you're prepared to take the trouble & some amount of risk to get Google Play Services working on the Huawei.

No memory card expansion or earphone jack so unfortunately had to avoid, otherwise a great spec for the price
    uscool's avatar
Is earphone really a big deal when you can get usb c to 3.5 ?

I'm guessing this is a massive upgrade from the 10 inch fire tablet?

I've been keeping an eye on this - great screen with midrange processor and RAM. Amazing hardware for the price - 🔥

What is the screen like, viewing angle etc. They normally skimp on this on budget tablets.
    reckoning's avatar
I found it a little odd at first, but just as I noticed it. It's a lot better than I thought though, perfect for ebook reading etc.

can one get a keyboard for this?

    What about doogee t10 tablet?
    Crossbow's avatar
Those have impressive specs for the low price of £120 including SIM support, but the processor, screen, speakers/audio, overall durability & software updates (if any) on this will be better & I'd choose this over that, comparison here gsmarena.com/com…404 (edited)

Does anyone know if this can be connected to a TV via a USB C to HDMI cable? Be handy when staying in an Airbnb.

I bought from Honor at launch price (plus free buds) and the cashback got declined, may be different for others but just a heads up

Bought through Complete Savings - 10% plus £10 monthly bonus. Seems pretty decent. Delivery only from Argos.

Good price for what it us, but personally I'm looking for something with HDR10 support on the display.
    Kane66's avatar
Maybe you should buy a TV.
