I still remember feeling scarred as a super excited 9 year old when after praying to get a scarelectrix Christmas day arrived. With legs trembling with excitement I climbed the loft ladder and surveyed the scene. Inside I could barely suppress the crushing sense of disappointment as what greeted me was a Hornby railway set. I spent the next few days thinking of what could have been as the train went round and round in simple circles. The only dynamism to its repetitive circular movement was when I would get it to derail itself colliding with plastic animal toys I had tied down to the tracks in front of it.
