I can't see any difference to this which went over 1000 degrees yesterday at £432 hotukdeals.com/dea…338

The hp actually has twice the storage.

Can anyone advise if I'm missing something?

Edit: as I'm getting likes on this post I thought I should update:

So far the differences are:

(the previous linked lenovo laptop has:)
-Half storage size (256 vs 512)
+backlit keyboard
+fingerprint scanner
+better build (metal vs plastic body).

Bought this a few weeks ago for £399 and I'm very impressed.

Slim, fast, great IPS display, quiet fan with no overheating issues...

My only gripe is the keyboard not being the greatest. The enter button is a bit small, which can be annoying. The trackpad is good though, with physical click buttons.

All things you can live with at £369.

I’d pay £100 to upgrade my hp Ryzen 2500u, 8GB, 256Nvme from plastic to metal. I’d pay someone at least £20 to upgrade me to a backlit keyboard. From experience, I would consider the £432 laptop the better value for the spec. This particular deal is also hot!

Neatly presented Sir
For those wondering: this is an IPS panel. (According the the model number)

Which makes this a very hot deal indeed.

It may even be hotter than my Lenovo S540 deal, I’m afraid to say....

Does anyone have any idea if this has a good build quality? Is the body all metal? Backlit lighting? Fingerprint scanner?

Just curious @Johnny_S since you're already an owner, you might be best placed to help here.. Does this have a backlit keyboard?
Also does the USB-C support charging?
It looks like a great laptop which I'm gonna pull the trigger on regardless, and, for the great price, I'm not actually expecting either... but worth asking so I know what to expect and it would be the cherry on top!
Is thia touch scteen?

No backlit keyboard unfortunately.

In terms of the type C port, there definitely is one, but I'm not entirely sure of it's capabilities to be honest. (It has a charging symbol beside the port if that is any indication?)
BF this one went over 1600 degrees on here.

It was as cheap as this with a code on AO ebay site on BF.

Cheaper than the Lenovo that`s gone OOS?

HP probably a better brand than Lenovo anyway.
A lenovo i5 was just posted at £409 is it better than this?

No it`s not.
It`s got a TN panel for a start and Windows S
Awesome spec for the price!
Do you think this would run sims 4 on decent graphics? I think it would, just wanted a second opinion.
Great price, ordered
Snaffled one! Thanks
At that price it would be rude not to,thanks op
Heat
Thanks, ordered. Been looking for days and this fits with what I’m after.
Was holding out but for that price had to go for it, gone for standard delivery, they sometimes come next working day, we'll see. Cheers

Damn - have literally just ordered one this morning using a 20 referral code from previous thread. :/
No real need for one but was still tempted at £399. £30 off has now convinced me to order, thanks OP!

Hi Gowf (what does that mean anyway?).
I've just taken delivery of the lenovo laptop and I have to say that the metal build quality is AMAZING, as is the thin bezel and the overall design.

So far the differences are:
-Half storage size (256 vs 512)
+backlit keyboard
+fingerprint scanner (i have no need for this)
+metal build.

Personally, I'm happy I paid extra £60 for the above.

Thanks for the deal.
Ummmmmmmmmed and ahhhhhhhhhhhhhed about the Lenovo at £432, glad I missed it
and ordered this HP with twice the SSD.

This`ll sell out today.
would this laptop be any good for video editing mostly from a go-pro?
Saw this just when posted and voted hot. Then fell asleep past couple hours, waking to find all these positive comments. Was reluctant to buy only cos already have a laptop that seems okay (5yr old i5 with HDD) ..... BUT thought, what the heck, its a good price and just bought this.

Bought this a few months ago when it dropped to under £400 with an ebay code. It's amazing spec for this money, small and portable, lovely screen, fast, light gaming capable... It's still on like it's 2nd charge since I bought it (running exclusively off battery), gathering dust, because although I didn't need it I couldn't resist such a bargain.

10/10 would buy to look at it sitting on a desk with the lid shut again!
