Well reviewed HP Pavilion Aero laptop available for £615.99 to JL members with code MYJL20. This model retails for £799 so that’s a decent discount.

Overall good specs, the only negative I’ve seen is the battery life

I had one of these albeit bought direct and cheaper from HP. A host of problems, worst of which was fingerprint reader usually not working. Sent it to HP for repair, they said they had done it and the unit came back filthy. Problem persisted. This was second dud new laptop I'd bought from HP in 18 months. Really difficult to get a refund, no process for that just for repair. After six months and umpteen emails finally got my money. No more HP for me. But refund probably easier if bought from JL.

Good laptop but the price has been all over the place at JL. was hovering around £550 until a month ago when it jumped to £800, and was £500 on Black Friday. Might be worth waiting…

Beware: the realtek WiFi card used in this is not that great. The signal would drop often and the WiFi completely stopped working in some instances. This may not be a problem as you can just swap it out for an intel one.

I would check as I’ve come across a few with the WiFi card is soldered down. I agree on the Realtek card but that’s probably a driver issue that an update may fix (also turn off any WiFi power saving options as they also mess things up). You want the Intel AX series really, those things are reliable and stable.

Nice, really like the design and form factor of this, it's very small and makes use of the space. Keyboard and screen to the edge

Battery is not impressive, especially for something which appears to be designed to be ultra portable.

8-9 hours she said. What's wrong with that?

Interesting laptop. Wonder if it can be charged with a USB C charger.
