Effectively the same car, but IMO looks nicer ...£700 more, but 7 yr warranty and the more powerful 1.5l engine

    Yes, that's a better deal.

Had this car for the past 9 months and it's perfect for us. Family of four with plenty of space for a dog and luggage. Power is more than enough. The wheels shown in the pic aren't what we have as standard. (edited)

Cant believe on one website we have so many engineers, scientists, physicists with so much free time on their hands

I currently have a courtesy car i20 with this engine. It's an absolute shed of a car, and you've got to wring its neck to get it to do anything because of the very high gear ratios. It might have a low consumption on the test cycle, but in real life its really not that frugal. A bigger engine with fuel saving tech like cylinder deactivation or Budack cycle running under low loads would be more efficient than a 1.0 with tall gearing that's working hard all the time.

I know this is a great price but come on people is getting a new car worth having to get something so ugly and slow. Put the same £20k into something a year or 2 old and your still getting warranty but something at that price can be really nice, economical and not as slow as a bus.

Exactly, with this sort of money you can get a skoda kodiq edition with a 1.5l petrol engine. It may not be the bees knees but its a great all rounder.

That turbo is going to have to be huge to compensate the power/weight ratio.

That poor little engine. I'd try and opt for at least a 1.6 Turbo (or as near as).

Voted hot just for the wheel trims! Straight out of the 1980s parts bin.

I was never impressed with 3 let l litre engineers; always had use quite low gears to accelerate and the resulting fuel consumption wasn't any better than old engines. What's the point then?

Bought an i10 in 2016, been great as a city short distance car, just a bit tiring on the motorway, but ideal for what it is.

I had the i10 with the same size engine (courtesy car). ideal for in the city or small inter city trips, very nippy. Not sure I'd whack the same engine in a tourer
