Bear in mind, that this Travelodge is totally misnamed, it is not at all near Edinburgh Park and should be called South Gyle Travelodge as it is nearer South Gyle Station and the Gyle shopping Centre than it is to Edinburgh Park. All that is nearby is a Farmhouse Inn. South Gyle Station is on the railway line from the Forth Bridge to the city centre, not on the tram line.

OTOH Edinburgh Park has a Premier Inn and a Novotel and is on the tram line from the airport to the town centre as well as the main Edinburgh - Glasgow railway line. It is also next to the Hermiston Gait shops, KFC, KrispyKreme, Costa, etc.

It is quite a long walk from South Gyle to Edinburgh Park, I guess that's why its cheap! (edited)

The Edinburgh Park Premier Inn is our go to hotel when heading up to Edinburgh. Tram stops outside and it's less than 15mins into the centre. Usually get a good deal if you keep an eye out

I book in advance but tend to avoid the Saver rate now and only go Flexible. True it costs a bit more, but if the weather is forecast to be raining the whole time you are there, well who wants that? Plus you can cancel the booking right up until 12pm on the day of arrival if the weather is forecast to be pants. (edited)

Good price for Edinburgh. With what you save on a couple of nights stay, you can push the boat out and buy a bag of chips.
