I kind of agree but at the same time some of the deals that Game and Smyths are pumping out on Pro, including the white edition, are far better value to be fair and that is coming from someone who could get this deal for £264 with partner discount too

You’re right, I forgot a comma.

I’ve never bought anything other than Lego other than maybe some Megablocks for my son die to maybe a minions theme.
I’m also very much aware of licensing, tax, intellectual property rights, etc.

My comment was flippant but a true too. Unfortunately you didn’t see it as such.

However there is some grounding to Lego over charging. They boosted all prices post Brexit. Also with the regular deals you can get on many sets, not so much the expert builder, mind storms or USC models. The regular deals highlight there is lots of room in the profit structure.

Why do you think Lego push Ninjago, Friends etc. More profit as there are no licensing fees.

£169.98 for 3 bulbs that change colour. That's nearly 7 months of my …£169.98 for 3 bulbs that change colour. That's nearly 7 months of my electricity bill. Can't understand why anyone would spend that much money to have a different colour light in their house. It would take years to recoup this money via energy saving compared to a normal bulb.Am I wrong? Please let me know. I'm not having a go at the op as a deal is a deal but have we all gone bananas?

Taking an average of 3 hours bulb use a day at 60W. An incandescent bulb will cost about £10 a year to run. Led at 10W about £1.50.
So if an LED colour changing bulb costs £55, it would be about 6.5 years to break even.

In that time you’ve had greater flexibility and utility of your bulb. Also that doesn’t include replacing the incandescent every year or 2.

Smart homes add utility if you want it. It isn’t the cheapest way to save energy but it is more fun.
As an example my house for Halloween had changing light effects across the garage, porch and front room. I can’t do that with fixed colour bulbs.

I get the cost implications but 100 fags cost £50 in 5 days. A bottle of wine a night is £3 upwards. 2 weeks you have a bulb. I don’t smoke and rarely drink at home.

They have the new e14s aswell I need a few of these. Anyone had any experience of them. Ive heard they are not as bright.

Are the GU10s bright enough? Only 250 lumens....most LEDs are 300+ as a minimum

I was given these as a gift. They were a novelty for a couple of weeks with the kids, now we only use them as basic white lightbulbs. Total waste of money. There are much cheaper Chinese equivalents now for around £7 a bulb. Phillips need to drop their excessive prices.

Just seen that Amazon have updated their prices to £39.99 for the twin pack. So I've ordered from John Lewis, thanks.

Posted the Amazon deal here.

Trying to describe it is purely subjective..you need to just try a spray in your local fragrance shop...large boots stores or John Lewis, Debenhams etc.
Most 'new ' aftershave all just smell like the lemon base they are built around...but this one is a nice smell, And not like any others...just try it, I reckon you will love it.
