Popped into my local Tesco last night (Swansea Fforestfach) and they had the Kindle Paperwhite reduced to clear with 30% off. They also had the standard Kindle reduced (down to around £60). These are with Ads and I think you can pay £10 to Amazon to remove them if you want.
No idea if its local or national but a great price if you can find one.

if ads about other books don't bother you, then you can save £10. the ads are just a screensaver of new books.
Or you can choose to remove them for £10 at anytime.
a lot of people chat with kindle support and can end up having ads removed for free though, like myself.
