£16.80 for 6x250 so better to go with small packages to keep it fresh. Same price or even cheaper as roughly £11.2/kg

    That's a cracking price. Got a link? I couldn't see that option.

Also, i wouldn't worry about freshness. The packet is very strong foil lined. We just cut the corner a tad and seal with a clip

If any body is after a somewhat decent (in my opinion) coffee from Amazon, I buy around 20kg if this stuff a year and the roast date is usually around 2 weeks before, maximum it has been is 3 weeks. Not too oily and a nice all rounder!

I've seen Coffee Masters getting a lot of good reviews but I haven't tried them yet.

So far I've only really liked 100% Arabica beans.

Union Daily Roast was fantastic but a bit expensive.

Pelican Rouge are a well priced but I only liked Blend 1863. I have a monthly subscription to this one.

Amazon Solimo - very cheap and drinkable but quite bland. I actually mixed in a bag of Pelican Rouge that I absolutely hated. Not on my reorder list.

Cherry Storm No. 17, these get good reviews but I wasn't fussed.

I've just started with Planet Java, these are a step up in quality and I really like the 2 I've tried.

Brazilian Santos - I really like this one and I've set up a subscription on this as well.

Espresso Riserva. Quite light but lovely flavour. I will definitely reorder some time. I go though 2 bags of coffee a month so I might even change my Pelican Rouge subscription to this yet.

£11.20 for this and £16.80 for the 6x250g - works out identical price per gram. I'll take the 6 smaller ones to maximise freshness. Nicer bean than the Rossa line

Not sure how this compares to Lavazza Rossa but that’s currently £11.19 and £8.95 with the 5% vouchers and maximum S&S savings. (edited)

The Rossa line is good but more of the starting point for the beans they offer. Great price for less than £10 s&s nice find

Thanks. Just ran out of my Lidl beans, although I see a few suggesting to get the 6x250g

This feels like it’s gone up in price! Normally buy 1KG a month of beans and all the Lavazzas normally come out around £10 or less a bag

Some of the other options they have drop under £10 but i don't remember these ever being that price.

What’s the roasting date on these?

They won't have one. Most likely a BBE date. I often guess it's 24m after roast, but I could be wrong

The Ora are positioned higher than Rossa but I really don't rate or would not recommend them. The roast is too dark, putting them through an espresso machine with non pressurised baskets, the extraction pours out just like water, no consistency, crema or decent flavour profile. the Rossa seems to offer much more for me, but this of course may be unique to my brewing setup & method...
