Totally random but is there anything out there for good starter sets to buy kids per their age? Also anything on charity shop pickups or is it rare/difficult to find such things in charity shops?

sorted by- Depends on the age, but my kids mostly play(ed) with DUPLO until 4-5. That stuff can always be found in charity shops! I mostly stay away from themed sets and buy the 'Creator' (3 in 1) and 'Classic' sets (the yellow brick storage ones also solve the problem of where to put it all!) when discounted and every now and then I add a few random minifigures.
Of course my LEGO is all Star Wars and movie related - Quite a few Lego disney sets reduced when added to basket
- need amazon to price matchNo, much better supporting ANYBODY but Amazon. They're taking over and if you buy everything from Amazon there will be no competition soon, meaning higher prices.
- Been wanting this for ages but Rick Astley refused to give me itSorry about that.
- Wheres Kevin
How could they leave Kevin out, defies belief.
Decent price, thanks op. - Thanks for posting. I love this set I just wish it had been a bigger set with more detail plus I wish I didn’t see Ted Danson as a figure instead of Carl!
- Ta, at that price I will bite.
But as says it could do with either more or bigger balloons.
Squirrel! - Incidentally, don't bother ask Rick Astley if you can borrow his dvd of this movie
- Why didn't they make the balloons bigger and better than that like the Lego ideas post! Shame!
Maybe as it would have made it very expensive, or top heavy? - Great deal at least it hasn't gone 'Up' in price due to inflation
- Bit expensive ? Should be 20-30 quid surely ?Having a laugh? 10-15 quid more like
- Great deal
- Works for me
- Sweet. Was looking for sub 40 so this us nice. Heat.
- Thanks got myself one
- Heat, thanks, kids have been after this.
- Super thanks minifig 😁
- Thanks - picking it up tonight. 🤟

- Pulled the trigger on this. Wife liked the look of it.
Tried a couple of times to pick it up from the Amazon deals from Germany but failed as I think I had previously used the code for something else.
Cheers OP. - If this sells well enough
I think we will see a bigger version or a few additional sets, the Waterfalls Kevin
and the Mrs are glaring possibilities. - Great Price. Order. Picking up on the way home
- Now matched by Amazon
- odered thank you OP
- It's a good set, too small for the RRP, but probably worth £30/£35. Lots of stickers, not enough balloons
- Cute little set is this one
- These fly off the shelves
- You cost me 40 quid but my wife says thanks
- Still showing £50 when I try 🥲AuthorAdd to basket
- Yeah I like
- Nice set. At this price brings piece per pence down to 6p which is just right! May even consider the moc additions to make this full modular at later date
- Doesn’t look much Lego for the money. Guessing it’ll be £25 ish around Black Friday
- Why this set is that popular? You can’t just throw words around hoping they make a sentence
- Back in stock for all my locals
