So I have just replaced RAM in this little monster and results are below:

    userbenchmark.com/Use…584

This little benchmark shows a little more information about this system and also memory tests.

I had struggle initially to get a proper RAM sticks to it but only ones that were working and are working PERFECTLY and FAST are :
    Crucial RAM 16GB DDR4 3200MHz CL22 (or 2933MHz or 2666MHz) Desktop Memory CT16G4DFRA32A

I got two single sticks rather than double pack as I was irritated getting not compatible RAM and I was trying to get it ASAP.
But 2 individual ones ended up cheaper than double pack.

In the link you have other capacity RAM too but better to not mix RAM with Samsung 8GB that was installed in the machine already and get matching ones or get same one from eBay if you only want 16GB.

And yes - you need at least 16GB for this machine as on my initial Chrome and system use and moderate load I was finding that I use 7.1GB of memory out of 8GB on the first day.

Forget about XMP memory deals from HUKD as these RAMs do not work - I have tested it.

And there is no need to play with BIOS to activate anything.

Also currently installed NVME drive is PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe with good speeds.

As mentioned in previous post no PCI for GPU.

One more thing - initially this PC was booting in around 20 seconds and closing in around 7 but after modifying two settings in MSCONFIG (enter Terminal and type MSCONFIG) :
    - tick next to : NO GUI boot
    - and in Advanced options: number of processors changed from 1 to 20 and after this Apply and reset.

This PC now boots much faster than my sons Gaming PC :

BOOT from full power off to windows desktop in 5 - 7 seconds and turns off in 3 seconds - WOW!!!

    Thanks OP for this deal.

Amazing info, thank you this is really helpful. Not sorted the RAM yet so this is great. Glad the deal helped you. I still think it was an amazing price for what it is

Powerful, but processor is quite high power consumption for a Plex server or security camera (Blue Iris) computer that will be on all the time. Something to bear in mind if that's your intended use.

    cpubenchmark.net/cpu…669

For reference, a half decent Synology NAS with a J4125 processor is only 10W typical TDP vs. the 65W for this one. Albeit for a processor with less than one 10th the passmark! (edited)

I don’t think its fair to compare the power of a NAS to something that will be running AI on camera streams?

Doesnt Lenovo have malware and spyware
    klopikxda's avatar
Yes it has, but remove bloatware yourself if needed. Antivirus preinstalled is a nightmare - replace it ASAP

Should serve as a good Plex server, etc. Not really viable for gaming, not worth stripping to build a gaming rig. Worth the price, depending on your use case.

Completely agree, I guess thats why it appealed to me for blue iris 🏻

you could chuck a low profile 1050ti GPU in this, will take its power from the mainboard and give decent 1080p performance on the majority of games from low to high settings (edited)
    Smoggy1970's avatar
    Good shout for the 1050ti.

Initially I was sceptic but grabbed one, thank OP. My CPU is barely able to keep up since it is only 4/4 core. This will solve my issues. 4/4 to 12/20 cores nice (edited)

    "It's got a whopping five USBs".... I count 7
  8. klopikxda's avatar
Someone in reviews mentioned that any GPU cannot be installed as there is no expansion slot available....
It would save me time as CPU is worth £200+ alone but going to build something myself at similar price and better connectivity (edited)

I also noticed this, I read somewhere else that it supports low profile cards only. So technically you could add a GPU but limited choice?

Seems like a good deal. Heat

    Yes, Windows 11 Home

This is actually decent value for what it is. Have heat.

    Wow, super price!

Looks a fair price and if didn't already have a good Plex setup at home would have been tempted as have a low profile graphics card likely coming free when my kid upgrades.

what would be the best RAM (cheapest) in size of 32 GB?

HDMI 1.4? Is this a joke?
    Smoggy1970's avatar
Why would it be a joke?

Has anyone out there got one of these that can let us know what the internal slots are please? Everyone is determined to get a GPU into them, but no info on the slots. Please? Thanks. (edited)
    Potting.Machine's avatar
from what I just viewed on Youtube in terms of the internals of this PC, it appears that the spare PCI-E slot for a dedicated GPU is single slot only as it is the pci-e slot closest to the PSU and the final PCI-E slot opening at the rear of the PC, so you couldn't install a low profile dual slot width GPU in it, so unfortunately it looks like the 1050ti and 1650 GPU low profile options are not compatible

49783552-9TA9b.jpgthis looks like the only decent performer GPU that will fit into this PC
    Aidan_Conway's avatar
I just asked a chap selling one on eBay to have a look for me and he said they are iGPU only? Not worth the risk if you are intending gaming on it, I think? That YouTube link I posted is not the exact machine either, so very risky... Cheap for a reason, perhaps?

I didn’t purchase for the need of adding a GPU but for all the comments discussing the possibility, there is no connector soldered to the motherboard. Even if you did add the connector I am guessing the BIOS would not be setup for it
