Lenovo Smart Clock Essential with Alexa Built-in

The Lenovo Smart Clock Essential is the ultimate smart clock for any room. It's the ultimate upgrade to your aging digital alarm clock, more useful than a smart speaker, and a must-have smart home device for Alexa users. With its big & bold display, you can check the time from across the room. Just ask Alexa for help around the home, play music, control your smart home devices, and more.

Lenovo Smart Clock Essential with Alexa Built-in | Features

Own your time
In the kitchen, study, or bathroom, take back your time. Stay informed without wasting time by checking the large, high-contrast LED display for weather, humidity, and temperature outside. No time to look, or hands full? Just ask Alexa. Set timers, alarms, reminders, and fill your Amazon shopping cart. Whatever you want, just say it out loud.

Doubles as a smart speaker
Stream songs from Amazon Music, Spotify, and other platforms. Play music, audiobooks, and podcasts throughout your entire home with multi-room audio. The 3W full-range speaker fires forward, filling a room with clear, crisp audio. Or play and listen to music across different parts of your home by setting up speaker groups.

Your smart home control center
Manage compatible smart home devices using your voice. Look for the "Works with Alexa" badge on thousands of compatible smart homes devices, including lights, plugs, thermostats, locks, TVs, garage door openers, fans, and more. Switch the light on before getting out of bed, dim the lights from your couch to watch a movie, or turn down the thermostat as you head out.

4071316_1.jpgPerfect for your nightstand
When it's dark in your bedroom, our auto-dim display darkens to cut back light coming from the screen. You can even turn off the screen with the Alexa app. If you share a room or bed, the soft buttons on top let you control your device without disturbing others with your voice. And when it's time to wake up, tap the top to dismiss the alarm or snooze.

Enjoy complete privacy
Don't look for a camera—there is none. And take complete control of your privacy with the physical switch to mute your microphones. For extra peace of mind, the red indicator on the LED display shows when they're turned off.

4071316-dgxHY.jpgBe heard in every room
Set up a multi-room intercom system in your house by adding multiple Lenovo Smart Clock Essential with Alexa Built-in devices. Broadcast messages to all devices at once with a simple button press. It's perfect for calling the family to dinner or responding quickly when someone needs help.

Contemporary & chic
Made to blend into and compliment your spaces, the soft-touch fabric, curved lines, and high profile keep the design elegant and timeless. Choose between Misty Blue or Clay Red.
4071316_1.jpgMake it yours
The Lenovo Smart Clock Essential with Alexa built-in has a modular design, so it can match any scenario for any room. Whether you require a night light, wireless charging pad, or an additional USB port for your devices, pick the Lenovo Smart Clock docking station that fits the needs of that room. Drop the smart clock onto the compatible dock and let the magic happen.

Easy to set up and control
Plug it in and download the Amazon Alexa app on your smartphone. Once set up is complete, the app lets you change alarm sounds, customize what the display shows, manually adjust brightness, create a routine, and more.

Which version of these is the one to go for? So confused

I have the Lenovo clock 1 and 2. To be honest I prefer the clock 1 because it’s a bit smaller and quicker. There is a very limited tablet style screen in the two that slows thing down a bit.

    Thanks for this

I wouldn’t want Alexa listening in the bedroom..

As long as your girlfriend/boyfriend/favourite adult actress isn't called Alexa you should be fine (edited)

I bought the Google one as we have Google systems love it I love the way I can charge my phone and tablet from it too

Can't charge phones from the Alexa one; it's a different design with no USB ports.

I've got the Lenovo v1 google clock. Very good bedside radio/music/alarm/clock. And clock illumination can be turned off if you must have complete dark.

We have the v1 google in the living room. Bought googles own for the kitchen as it doesn’t have cloth on it. The one in the kitchen is used quite a lot for cooking timers and recipes. (edited)

Let's hope they've improved since the Google one - apparently those have pretty high failure rates for the screen. (edited)

does it have a temperature and humidity sensor
    Zedmeister's avatar
Yes, for external temperature and humidity, not the room's. (edited)

    Really?

For an extra £12.01 I bought a Google home Hub (2nd gen) from cex (2 year warranty,). I owned the basic Lenovo bedside clock but it wasn't that good...

Doesn't really help if you want Alexa

I have this one and it's a good bit of kit. Not as good as an Amazon echo device though. The mic is less sensitive and it doesn't add as an Alexa device in your room, just as "other" which means you can't say, "Alexa, turn on the lights", you have to say, "Alexa, turn on the bedroom lights". Can you change the display colour to red? Red is best at night.

I bought this and had issues. The fix is to switch it on, join it with Alexa. Let it do a firmware update. Then deregister from Alexa, factory reset the clock (hold - and alarm for 12 seconds). When it boots up, add it to Alexa again and it should work fine. I wasn’t able to change from noise level to weather or change units from Fahrenheit to Celcius but this sorted both out

Got this to race a missing digits lenovo essentials clock for the wife.
She didn't like it as it didn't display the day as well as the weather and time so had to send it back.
    Got another essentials

This listing was really promising to me, but sadly after some research, the dock that it pairs with and gives you some key features with this clock isn’t sold in the U.K. seems like a long-standing issue with no indication it’ll ever be fixed here. I’m glad I checked first!
