I picked up the 77C1 black Friday for £1799 if that helps? I know nobody has a time machine etc etc but just a "what's the lowest a 77 has been" type indicator.

It is a stunning set though, I was torn at the time between the 98" TCL from Costco and the 77C1... I came from a 55E7 OLED so decided picture over size and it really is beautiful!

My last LG OLED developed screen burn after 3 years. Not covered by warranty. I would not buy another OLED until it is covered. (edited)

Just talked to them. It comes with 5 year but does not cover screen burn

If these 5 year warranties don't cover screen burn on OLEDS then they aren't much kop. That's the main reason why you want a 5 year with an OLED. I do believe they have got better in recent years though

The warranty would be a big deciding factor for me, if the Argos deal is 5 years, I might well be buying it....but noting stated on the Argos website, so I am assuming it is just 12 months, which for such a large outlay for a TV is not ideal....it would be enough for me to say nah..
