The rest of their products seem to have been increased to pay for the cuts, one example is their small fruit loaf. Last year it was 79p, then it went up to 89p, then 99p, and yesterday it was £1.09, I left it on the shelf. The cheap dark chocolate bars, which contained no milk so were ideal for lactose sufferers, seem to have disappeared off the shelf and been replaced by much higher priced bars, and the lactose free soya milk has nearly doubled in price over the last year, or so.
Lidl, instead of being the go to store for bargains, now seems to be trying very hard to match the prices that Sainsburys and Tesco charge. (edited)

I Agree normal RRP price Difference Between Aldi, Lidl, Poundland and Iceland

Against the larger full range Tesco, Asda, Sainsburys stores has narrowed to almost the same price for equivalent own brands or name brands

Compared to 2013-2016 when there was larger price difference between discount stores and larger supermarkets
