No option to mount the lever on the left?[Image]

If you turn the table another way then it will be on the left side.

Maybe? It's not in the description but it's pictured on the left in the second image...

Build quality seem good too? Tempted to get one instead of one from IKEA.

With a hand crank, it takes a bit more effort to raise the desk, but I'd argue the true benefit is having a desk that is *precisely* the right height for you when sitting.I'm 6ft and standard desks have always been a little bit on the small side for me. I raise my desk about once a day to stretch on those long afternoons!

I'm tall as well. A couple of far shorter people got adjusted desks at my old office. I mentioned that perhaps I could benefit from this, and was given four wooden blocks!!!

It's 99.99 on the Lidl plus app brochure?

Ouch, that’s not fair. Sorry to hear that! I’m looking for remote work right now, so I can use my better desk and chair instead of whatever is available in the office.

140 by 60 is on the smallish side. Especially for depth. Plus crank operated tables get a bit annoying after a few cycles.
Not a great deal at this price really.

Get cranking because its cranky time .

Personally I wouldn’t want to crank the desk but would love to push a button.

Perfect for those days when I am working from home. Oh wait, knobhead Boris thinks I might eat too much cheese so this desk will no longer be needed

Voted hot as I think this is a great price for a manual crank standing desk.

I recently bought this small 120x60cm sized FlexiSpot electric standing desk, with 4 memory settings, for what I consider at great price at £255 off Amazon amazon.co.uk/gp/…GK/ As it's very easy to spend £400+ on an electric standing desk, especially if you want larger desk surfaces.

60cm isn't very deep, but 120x60cm was the same sized desk I was previously used to (Lidl one is 140cm).
With suitable stands, to get the right heights, it happily works for me to have a main 24 inch monitor, my work laptop raised to the side so I get dual screen + room for external keyboard, monitor, a drink and A5 notebook. Not much room if you work with more paper, but I'm mostly paperless.

Trim off the three crank ends with an angle grinder & buy a cheap Lidl cordless drill, lock it onto the stubs & you have yourself a cheap battery powered height adjustable desk!

You just passed the interview for Elon Musk personal assistant.

Nice price when comparing with an Ikea table, which we've just got for the other half's home office, but remember it's a 3-year warranty to Ikea's 10 year. (edited)

That only matters if you're a bit of a regular cranker

    Seems okay to me.
    Frame is good.
Top is 18mm thick, not the 25mm you get from a proper office desk but it is supported by the frame in the middle so doesn't sag.

With it being LIDL, you can always return if you are not satisfied.

Isn't a height-adjustable chair able to get you at the right height for the desk?

In cases where the desk is on the smaller side, you can choose the right height for resting your forearms properly, or the right height to keep your lower leg vertical, but not both.

With a lower leg at a non-vertical angle, it takes more effort to maintain an upright posture. With your forearms at a different height to the desk, it’s hard on the wrist and elbow.

It helped me a lot, I do yoga and visit a chiropractor every other month to ‘reset’ my back as my natural way of standing isn’t so great. (edited)
