This is a very long route going the other way, so might as well add a stopover in Istanbul if possible.

This is a crazy route to get to BA from London. You fly four hours in the wrong direction to Istanbul, then an 11 hour stopover followed by a very long flight to BA via São Paulo. In total a day and a half of travelling. (edited)

I agree but if you want to get there as cheap as possible this is great. Flights to SA are ridiculous from the UK usually and to fly within is just as bad
