    Stocked the freezer at Sainsbury’s in Wilmslow today. Not priced at £1.35 on the shelf but went through at the reduced price. Looks like all butter is going to 200g packs but nothing to tell you you’re being swizzed. Excellent buy for Lurpak but sad day generally for butter lovers.

    You did well there - Mansfield still priced at £2.70 - tried a couple of packs at the self checkout and scanned at £2.70 each - so I put ‘em back.

    Surprise, surprise. Brand butter is overpriced. Excellent Irish butter has been below 1.30 in farmfoods for a while. Expect similar reductions on other stuff that has been greedinflated.................
