    You were conned!
This deal is for a 750g pack.
Asda have the new shrinkflation sized 400g pack for £2.75.

    rapeseed oil

    avoid seed oils
    Bonedome123's avatar
100% right, pure butter with no added rapeseed oil is much healthier for you (as it’s been proven rapeseed oil is pro inflammatory(.

Online only 1 per customer minimum spend thought it was Discount Dragon for a minute

Good price if getting a delivery anyway unlike aforementioned.

    2 for £2.75. that's a steal
    blahblahblah1234's avatar
    Nopee, it's one for £2.75.
Idk why the OP put 2 packs in the picture.

Was only thinking about doing an Iceland shop earlier today as well. Some of their prices seem pretty decent, although I'll opt for the real butter every day of the week. (cheapest I've seen being £1.29 at Farmfoods for their own brand!)

I was placing an order with this deal and i thought i would be cheeky and try my £10 off in July code that i had already used, and it worked (didn't work with the lurpak code added as well though) ! Check your emails for a £33 off email

Same price in herons, seems the penny has finally dropped that price your item at what ever your want but it doesn't mean people will pay it.
    GrumpyJo's avatar
Absolutely. To be honest they lost me as a customer years ago because they started the annual price hikes once they had a boom in popularity but they have stretched it too far to the point it's simply unaffordable for most people and personally, I won't buy it now out of principle regardless of how cheap they make it.

Remember the days it was this price normally

    Brilliant !! “lure back”

I guess the only way to send the message "enough already" is not buy it & look around for alternatives (from Aldi and/or Lidl for example) be that the micky take play on names brands, or the actual foreign alternatives.

BUT if the price continues to rise, and/or the packs continue to shrink, but they STILL sell, well, at the end of the day, whose fault is that?

We now eat Clover as it's buttermilk, better for the stomach (my stomach).

You wanna eat this? Read the Label...would not feef it to any children.....

Absolute joke.........They say: "We've removed everything artificial without comprising on the taste. Simply made with Buttermilk".............. Lie after Lie after misinformation......

Compare this with any kids drink, I'd say the ingredients aren't that bad

Wonder how many people have glanced at this offer, voted hot and then realised it really isn't a deal.
Iceland is so expensive for everything else, I think Waitrose is cheaper for a lot of things than Iceland now it's a joke
  15. 1884's avatar
There’s people spreading all sorts on here.
  16. PizzaTheHutt's avatar
Why do people buy spreadable? I buy salted butter, and it keeps ages at room temp.. except when we have our heat waves, in which case it goes in fridge and i take it out a bit before usng.
    TrolleyDolly18's avatar
And it's OK to have it "chill n thaw" over n over, time n again? or would yer just guestimate a chunk

I've been known ter stick the odd chunk in the microwave fer a few seconds B4 now, if I'm in a rush, WORKED a treat.

Might want to add Iceland to the title. I thought it was direct from Lurpak for a minute and a minimum spend of £25 of butter. Only James Martin could consume that much butter!

Does this clog arteries less than the full fat version?
    Bonedome123's avatar
It’s processed food and eating too many refined carbs that blocks your arteries!
  19. blahblahblah1234's avatar
To avoid any confusion, the deal is for 1 pack not 2.
There's now a tiny "or" between the 2 pictures, you can buy the regular or lighter version, not both.
    TrolleyDolly18's avatar
    Oh yeah
I knew...I just KNEW I shoulda gone ter Specsavers
  20. subway1234's avatar
Can you buy this in store
    Niqabi921's avatar
No I believe its online only and limited to one per order
  21. phunny12000's avatar
    Iceland are struggling i think
    Watch and see
  22. Andrew11's avatar
This is like 6 quid in Tesco
    TrolleyDolly18's avatar
And £5.50 in-store @ Iceland, and yet some will still call it a "deal" There's nowt so queer as folk
  23. TrolleyDolly18's avatar
    750g?
I thought this kind of stuff came in 250g, 500g & 1 Kilo packs, but 750g?
Could this be another example of shrinkflation if so, yet another reason we should be looking at alternatives, such as NORDPAK from Aldi.
    teddyedward1's avatar
Seems they’re made to order nowadays.
Got a 400g on offer at Morrisons, didn’t realise till we got home.
  24. SpeedbirdB777's avatar
The perception of a deal is quite strange really. Would the title, ‘£2.75 off a £40 shop at Iceland when you order a single tub of Lurpak’ have gone down as well?
  25. Muig1972's avatar
I'm not buying this stuff again...because it's so moreish! I'm sure it must be what made me fat earlier in the year- I think I got through a tub in a week.

(I've almost lost all the weight now, thanks for asking)
  26. giftedhuman's avatar
Spreadable... . Should not be even for sale like many other "food" products
    Bonedome123's avatar
Yes ‘spreadable’ is just marketing speak for ‘please  buy our heavily refined food that makes us more profits’.

As other have said just buy pure butter leave in a butter dish at room temperature, if you are worried about it going off, just transfer from fridge to butte dish as you need it.

Currently overweight and on track to lose weight. Looked at the calories of the things I was eating before and this was the biggest problem as I was eating 700 to 1000 calories each day just from this. Now I stopped having it and feel way better
    john_n3MU's avatar
more calories in the rapeseed oil than the butter, i'll wager.........
  28. john_n3MU's avatar
cor. thank goodness for cut n paste.......point taken tho'
