I've had the hammer drill version of this for the last 3 years, it's a great cordless drill for the money

I bought this last year, but immediately changed it for the combi drill version (MSCD18-LI-2), which was only £7 more, but has:

    Hammer drill function.
13mm chuck capacity over this 10mm.
35nm of max torque, over this 30nm.
21 torque settings over this 18. (edited)

Expensive for a non-hammer action drill, especially from a secondary brand like this.
    You can do much better!

Does it include the actual charger I couldn’t see it on the product page

The pros = two batteries, charger and it lasts a decent amount of time.

The cons = very underpowered (what you expect from this price range). Its ok for drilling through thin / light woods but anything like a shed or timber, no chance.

I don't bother using the combi screwdriver function as its just too weak. Fine for drilling up to about 6mm

Can anyone tell the difference between them? Or basically what is the difference between combi drill and drill driver?

Combi drills offer all the same features as a drill driver, but with the additional hammer-action feature, making it suitable for drilling into masonry and brick too.

Nice, anyone know which other makes, if any, the batteries are compatible with?

I would recommend the combi with hammer function if you will need to drill into brick etc. I have to say I'm really impressed with these, nice torque

I brought a couple of these last year, £25 each. They come with a carry case, battery and charging unit, good drills, they also came with 2 year guarantee.

Be careful to ensure the chuck is straight - returned mine straight away last year because it wasn’t true. Was pretty underwhelmed by it too - save up a bit more and get something better imo

Not sure why this is going so hot.

The combi model which also has slightly more torque is available for 50p more.

30nm torque is pretty low so will be underpowered for larger tasks. I'd say minimum 35nm for general DIY but would aim for 40nm +.

I believe this is manufactured by Positec (Worx). So you may find some compatibility with other brands produced by them such as Worx, Guild, Ferrex 18V, JCB 20V, Bauker, Wesco, Wickes 1 for All, Titan 18V, Erbauer 18V (none EXT).

I'd suggest spending slightly more and getting the likes of this Bauker which offers 40nm of torque.
