Serious petrol heads will say it's rubbish but for the occasional mechanic they're fine.

Anything really stubborn to undo you'd use a breaker bar anyway.

I could have done with this set earlier this week. Had to borrow my neighbours to remove a seized up ceramic tap valve!.

Don't know the quantity look like the same generic stuff on ebay like hilka etc but for a better price. I will soon find out about quality as ordered one, only thing is whether is 72 tooth ratchet.

Am I very mean in keeping a crap set like this, just in case my neighbour asks to borrow some of my tools?
The sockets will be moulded, rather than forged. Which means tapered internally - oversize through to undersize. So, likely to round-off a nut or bolt head, even on the first use. The wall thickness will taper as well, so undersize at the top and likely to split unless the nut is well down into the socket.

That's fixable - just grind the sockets down. They will be deeper than you need to start with, most of the time (unless there's a bolt going through them - in which case you can normally use a ring spanner). That removes the over-size section and leaves you with greater wall thickness.
